Warnings are rather frequently posted to the general public. It saves time, giving a single broad warning, rather than several individual ones as certain people need them.

I am sorry that it was something that sent you out of your home, and I am not saying I completely agree with the specific choices made, but given the many alternatives I'm sure Ares could have chosen, this was somewhat mild.

A warning is a preemptive display meant to prevent future problems. Thus, a warning can still be applicable to everyone, regardless of whether they have done what is being warned against yet, or not.

I am being fair. I am also trying to keep him from reacting far more harshly. He is right to feel slighted, and allowing him this one display of power may prevent him from doing anything far worse, next time he is in a mood.

	It was not all the water available, merely that in the plumbing systems - and there are many, like yourself, who are capable of retrieving water for the others should a desperate need arise. You know, until he posted that little message I was sure this had been some kind of magic accident or a seal thing, because, really, who would purposefully get rid of the water supply while we're actively combating a threat to everyone here? Which some of us need to be, you know, hydrated to do.

I understand what Loki is saying about a warning. That's one of the early lessons if you were brought up to rule anything. It's usually pretty effective. That doesn't mean it's right, though, and people are supposed to care about that here.

I think that was probably why he did it. He knows we need water, so why not take it away when we need it the most? As far as punishing people goes, it's an easy enough method to aim for.

I don't see it as much of a warning if he's already taken action, no matter how 'minor' he may think that action is. You made a point about people needing to stay hydrated to stop our current threat - how would we do that if we didn't have water? People could die or get hurt. It wasn't a warning.
