That had to have been the most interesting Bonfire Night I have ever attended, and it was certainly one of the best. Thank you for putting it on, Vex. It was nice to have a bit of home here. And I apologize if I was boring anyone with recollections of the experience during the war and the 1950s and 1960s. It was not my intent.

I'm glad you've accompanied me to some of the events we have attended. You seem to have been having fun, and surprisingly I have too. However, I would like to do something that is just the two of us. Perhaps we could go get dinner and watch a movie?

Also, I got a job. I'm the new choir director for the city's youth choir. This should be...interesting, as I have not had a position such as this before. So I will not be at the manor as much as I have been. I do not want you to worry.

Is the offer of the use of a car still available? I have recently gotten a job and need to have reliable transportation. I would appreciate it very much.

I have been thinking for a time that it might be best if I had access to a pistol of some sort. These are dangerous and uncertain times, and I would feel safer if I had something to protect myself and those I care about. Is there a way to obtain one legally, and if so, what would I need? And if not, could someone help me obtain one anyway?

Any chance you could take a look at my laptop and see if there's any upgrades you can do to make it more in line with the tech from my time? I like it and all, but it's still pretty primitive compared to what I'm used to. I can pay you for your time and any parts you might need.

It looks like I've also joined the ranks of the employed outside of freelancing!

I'm now the newest part time IT pro for the medical center, its only 3 days a week which also leaves room for freelancing and school. Transport wise I have my scooter which I've fixed post explosion (took ages but it was a good project).

My cover story also held: all anyone there knows is I spent the last couple of years living and working overseas after wrapping up my undergrad work (since I'm doing a couple of graduate computer classes online).

Phone will be on however if you guys need me during the day too.

I am long past-due in asking this, but- how might a sorcerer such as myself find purpose in this place?  I feel as if I ought to be of use somewhere, but I am at a loss as to how.

This is going to be a firstworldproblem post..I hate everything in my closet. Not that there is much in it anymore considering I'd literally -just- replaced stuff when I got here and then it all exploded, but what is there I hate. It needs to go away quickly and be replaced by many many new cute things but the bank of Buffy is tapped. The prospect of a holiday job at the mall is on the horizon but I don't exactly excel at job interviews considering I've never even had one. What do I even do at one?

I found a job driving a taxi around Lawrence. It's not flying, but it's not terrible, and it pays. Plus, gives me an excuse to avoid sitting around going crazy, and

I've met lots of interesting folk... and none of them have noticed I put devil's traps and 聖潔的腳本 in the car.
