Hi, everyone. My name is Melinda (you can call me Mel). I've noticed the amount of violence lately and I figured it was time that I put this out there for whoever might need it.

I'm a whitelighter. (It was my Christmas bauble wish) Anyway, what that means is that I can basically transport places quickly, it's called orbing. Basically I disappear in a shimmer of blue light and I reappear somewhere else in the same blue light. Not only that, but I can heal people. So, I just wanted people to know that if you're ever in a situation where you're hurt and you are afraid and need help you can call me. Literally, part of the whitelighter thing is if you yell my name out (Mel or Melinda) if I'm not incapacitated I'll respond and I can find you.

Don't use it for shits and giggles because if you do I'll ignore you and then you'd be SOL.

Before I start to really freak out does someone want to tell me what I'm doing in Kansas? Because this board is loaded with a whole lot of crazy including a person that looks disturbingly close to the joker from those comic books. I'm seriously trying to stay calm here, but it's not exactly easy when every other word is 'apocalypse'. If someone could just tell me this is all one big joke, like for my birthday or something, I would really appreciate it.

In all seriousness though, I was talking with Tenel Ka and we thought it might be a good idea if we made some kind of security alert system for the boards. That way whenever a certain level of threat hits the area, we can warn people in just a few words. I think the warnings will have to be established as a whole, so I was hoping that maybe you guys could help me out with that? For example...

GREEN ALERT - Everything is fine. There's no threat. Lawrence is safe. We'll never use this one.

What do you guys think? If it's something we wanna go with, maybe we could put in some general safety to do stuff for severe alerts too.
