Booth had no idea how to react. Bones was in Lawrence! But he'd just lost a partner. And Bones was in Lawrence..She was now in the middle of an apocalypse where Booth had to lie much of the time so they didn't die. Or worse. Was she going to understand that? Bones was a very face value sort of person, scientific and analytic and all those other words he often didn't understand. A frown crept over his face as he gripped at the wheel of his crossover and punched down on the gas.
It wasn't that he enjoyed being a liar and turning into the cops they despised the most. It wasn't as if he wanted to cover for the criminals the seal popped into Kansas. Or for that matter the vampires when they killed. There was however a bigger picture to look at. If they all got caught, the attempt to stop the apocalypse was gonzo with it. The attempts to work as a united team to take down the devil were done. He couldn't risk that, especially not with four years breathing down his neck until hell was in his face.
Even if they won, he would still go to hell..
The thought of killing Crowley had crossed his mind on more then one occasion. What if something happened to the king of the cross roads himself? What if he wasn't able to collect souls at all? His thoughts were interrupted by a horn honking behind him at the red light that had now turned green and Booth waved a hand at the driver. "Yeah yeah I'm going..asshole." He muttered as he pulled onto the side walk Bones had described to him.
His car was similar to the one he owned at home, nearly the same even on the outside. On the inside however, the trunk was filled with an array of hunters weapons he'd wished for in the trunk. He got out of the car and pulled off his shades, looking around for his partner.
