Booth was curious about how Bones would take being thrown into a different world. Curious and concerned all at once. She was his partner, he was always going to be protective of her. And even more so now that there were demons about. Some of them quite a lot worse than murderers and rapists they faced on a day to day basis at work. One couldn't just pick them apart as they did a dead body. These undead bodies tended to kick back. The last Bones that was there-that he was not about to tell about had handled things surprisingly well. Maybe she would too.
Already he'd misjudged her. He thought she'd be worried or scared like most of the new arrivals, but that just proved how long he'd been there. This was Bones. She would handle things in the most rational, logical way she could and Booth should have known that. It'd been almost three years since he'd seen her, he couldn't help but grin. "It is here." He said unfazed by her bluntness. Actually it was refreshing.
"I'll explain on the way. We'll get your car later." He reassured her and motioned to his car. It was very nearly the same make and model but the plates were different, the color was different. The trunk contents were most certainly different. Booth didn't even give a damn. So many things he had to tell her, the car was the least important of them all.
