Booth knew it was a lot to take in so he tried his damndest not to be annoyed when Bones tried to tell him he was having some kind of mental melt down and needed to pull over. But after everything he'd seen and been through it was irritating. There wasn't even a shred of doubt or disbelief in his voice when he spoke, but there was in hers. He had to focus through it really so as not to lose his temper. Bones was new. There was a time when he was new too. And she was his partner. He knew how she operated better than anyone else.
He knew she would probably need to see proof before accepting any of the things he was saying, but still he had to say them. She deserved as much information as he could give her-of course little caveats would be avoided for the time being but they weren't detrimental. Demon deals didn't need to be spoken of, Sam's criminal record could be glossed. What exactly he did for the FBI in Lawrence could also be saved for later.
He was going to have a hell of a time explaining it to her. He hoped with everything he had that she would understand and not hate him for what he had to do. It wasn't as though he liked his new position, but it was what was necessary.
"I promise you Bones, I'm fine." They finally reached the complex, Booth pulled up to the driveway and turned off the ignition. "You're going to want me evaluated aren't you?" He asked somewhat exasperated.
