Her mind started putting together what little information she had gotten so far and separate the actual facts from the confusion. The problem being that everyone she had had any contact with had the same information. Believed the same facts. Facts that, well, were not actually facts! A mass hallucination seemed most obvious. Brought on possibly by drugs, or even mold in a place that affected them all. Of course, she didn't know if everyone she had heard from was actually in the same place. So many variables.
Sadly, Tempe wouldn't be worried much about a criminal record. Especially if Booth said that the person was still able to be trusted. Working with him over the years and him working with her and her family she had learned that the law was the law, but it was not infallible. Also, that there were reasons sometimes, for not following the law. Good people did make mistakes and sometimes paid for them, sometimes they did not. Sometimes, the victims did not get justice.
She frowned as the car stopped and didn't move. She thought over all he had said, but more importantly, what he believed. What was making her so confused was that he was asking her to believe it. That part, was new. Turning to look at him her frown still in place she shook her head. "I am not a physician so my evaluation would be useless. Booth. You have told me before about your beliefs. About your god, and I've even seen you pray. We always agreed to disagree. I, wait while you pray, and I let you talk to any of the people we interview that are of the same beliefs so I do not offend them." She still didn't understand how she was being offensive but that was another discussion. "I am confused. Are you asking me to believe that we are in another dimension where this is all true? You've, never asked me to believe the same things before."
