Who: Bruce and Helena
What: A meeting of two scientific minds, one currently broken. Sooo anything can happen really.
When: Friday afternoon
Where: Bruce's warehouse
Warnings: Possible language, sciencey babble. Everything else TBA?
The past couple weeks had been incredibly difficult for Helena. First there had been Moriarty wanting to kill her and threatening Emily. Then he had strapped a bomb to Myka, which had finally made the Victorian woman snap and fall over the edge. It was a miracle that she hadn't killed anyone. Though really, she didn't have the chance to. There had been a sniper poised to kill her, which Myka had seen just in time. The other agent had thrown herself at Helena, knocking her down and saving her life. Instead of the bullet hitting her in an area that would have resulted in her death, it had hit her in the shoulder. Then just mere days after that, she'd left to go to Paris to be there for the anniversary of Christina's death. And oh how that had been difficult. To say the least, Helena was emotionally raw and spiritually broken and defeated. This was the bottom of the pit she had been falling into. It really was all she could do to keep herself from closing off her emotions. It was too painful, but she had to feel it because if she didn't, she would walk the path that not only led to her complete self-destruction, but also the probability of condemning yet another world to feel her fury.
And when she had gotten word of that shooting that had happened in Colorado, Helena's mood had deteriorated. She was anxious which was to be expected when she had been shot just over a week earlier. Helena had never liked guns, had only even used them if forced to. Her experience with the sniper had only reinforced that dislike of the things. This was why she relied so much on her Tesla. It was an alternative to killing, and really, it was an excellent way to disable someone without hurting them. As long as the Tesla was on it's low settings. The higher ones could incinerate, but that was besides the point.
After having consumed a couple glasses of brandy earlier, and after eating lunch, Helena made her way to Bruce's warehouse, as they'd agreed to meet. And she was curious about this new technology of his. Anything that she could focus on that wasn't herself or her emotions she would take right now. It might just be the very wrong thing to do, but Helena really needed something to take her mind off things for a little bit. Science was a good way for that. At least she was also getting out of the house? She'd almost locked herself in her work room, but figured Myka would break down the door on her, so she opted for going to Bruce's for a little bit. And perhaps she'd come back in a better mood because currently, she probably would sooner kenpo someone's ass than smile or joke. This is why she needed the science intervention.
Arriving at Bruce's, she knocked on the door. And as she was on edge because of the shootings, Helena had activated the protective barrier Bruce had made for her. She wasn't taking chances right now. Not after everything she'd been through.
