Helena Wells has "disappeared" with the Astrolabe ([info]ismellapples) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
"Thank you, I will make use of it. I only have a small room in which to build things, so having an entire lab at my finger tips is positively brilliant." And really, Helena did like that prospect. While the room in her house would suffice for her inventive spurts, a lab was needed when she wished to explore the universe that modern science had opened up.

Going into thought as she ate the pie, she wondered what other security measures she could install in her house. No doubt there were ideas she could take from things she learned here with Bruce to turn into something to make her home safer. Not that it wasn't all ready safe with the protection spells and the various traps she'd built into the house. But sometimes it didn't hurt to be over-protected. And after all the paranoia and fearing for her life that Moriarty had put her through, she would rather over-protect herself, Myka and Claudia than under protect them.

"Such is the way with exploration and discovery. Only when the myriad of elements are discovered and pieced together can the complete picture be drawn. And only then can something be approached with complete confidence of knowing it completely. Sometimes it is difficult to dispose of the preconceptions, but doing so is sometimes necessary to be able to proceed easily with things. And sometimes the intangible is what becomes the most integrated into our being in our pursuit of it."
