As Bruce described the transformation sensations, Helena shivered lightly. That did sound like it would be a bit disconcerting and certainly not for one that didn't like insects. The comparison gave her a good sense of what the transformation felt like. "Does it change the internal structures of the body as well, such as bone and organs? Or is it a merely skin deep transformation?"
Only 17 successful trials. It was better than zero, and showed evidence Bruce was on the right track with the device. After all, if it wasn't going in the right direction, there would be no successful trials. Looking at Bruce, she was flattered by his compliment. It had been many many years since she'd heard someone say as much to her. And really, it only served to stroke her all ready massive ego in that department. "I assure you that I will do all that I can to assist in this endeavor and see it through to a successful outcome." At the last part, she smiled, a bit of life coming to her eyes. "If I did not know better, I'd think that was a proposition, Bruce." She lifted both brows quizzically, but reached out and gently set her hand on his arm. "But believe me, I would like nothing more than to work with a fellow genius. There is doubt in my mind that together we can achieve whatever we put our minds to."
Listening, she smiled again. "I am honored that I am able to hold such a position for you, to help alight your mind in such a way. And yours is one that gives me a focus I have not known in a very long time. Exploring the limits of the universe and what can become reality with one who is like minded has reawakened the scientist and, dare I say, the dreamer within me. It makes me wish to dream once more and to make such dreams reality. But when one has all ready dreamed of the stars and achieved them, what is left to dream of?"
