Helena Wells has "disappeared" with the Astrolabe ([info]ismellapples) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
As she'd been on her way over here, Helena had only thought she'd be getting a rundown of one project, possibly something else she could get her hands on and work with to distract her. She had not anticipated being introduced to a world such as the once Bruce had just given her a glimpse. It had only been a glimpse, a taste, but it was far more than enough to get her attention, to get her mind thinking.

Following along after Bruce and keeping hold of his hand, she was rather intrigued as to what would come next. She lifted her brows in surprise at his mention of surprises. "There are more surprises? You have been planning this, haven't you? Deliberately appealing to my natural curiosity and awakening my mind. I should accuse you of devious plotting, my good man." Finally, a teasing tone in her voice. There was no telling how long it would last, but the important thing was that it was there now. She was showing signs of life, signs that would give her hope that she could pull herself back together after all.

The scent of cherries hit her and she took it in. And upon hearing that Bruce had been baking, she gave him a little look of curiosity. "So not only do you tantalize me with scientific matters, you bake a pie to entice my taste buds." Really, Helena was just glad he had not chosen apples. She had no aversion to the fruit, but the scent of apples would only remind her of the Warehouse, of her death.

"I cannot wait to taste this product of your experiments. It is true baking, and cooking in general, are very similar to science. So I am most eager to see the results of your experiments within the kitchen.
