Another boring night in Lawrence Kansas. Jack really didn't mind the place as much as he did when he first arrived, but it still had it's moments. Like the fact that it was winter still. He hated the cold. It was not his favorite time of year. He could see his breath in the air when he was breathing and that just wasn't right by any account. Stupid snow, stupid ice, stupid robbers. Woah, back up. Robbers? Jack had been so lost in his mind that he had barely noticed movement as a small group of black clad robbers made a hasty exit down a flight of stairs from a store front to the right of him. He raised an eyebrow. "Hey. I really don't think you guys understand the basic principal of shopping. Typically it's done during daylight hours. Why don't you stop and just tuuurn around." He emphasized turn with a little mocking twirl motion of his hand back at the store and offered a cocky smirk.
"Get out of the way kid." The older man with a gun motioned and Jack stared a very flat unimpressed stare. "Really. You talk with your gun?" The robber with the gun was obviously the leader, telling the other guys to spread out and try to flank the interfering hero because things were getting harry and weird. "Come on now, you wouldn't shoot an unarmed civilian." Of coarse what the robber didn't know was Jack was armed and could have his weapons out in seconds without even flinching. Silly robbers thinking they had skill or something. "I'm going to kill you, it's past your bed time. " Jack scoffed at the threat. "Let me guess, your next line is lights out, come on. That's so last year." With a roll of his eyes he raised a fist at one of three guys coming up behind him and slammed it directly in his face without even looking. The goons feet were so heavy he could hear him from a mile away. He staggered back holding his nose. "At least give me a challenge. " Jack was a little cocky, but the ranger had a right to be, robbers were easy peasy. At least these ones were, they were total amateurs. Never leave through the front door. Thievery rule number one.
The second guy coming from his left had a knife, he was waving it around with little skill like a drunken monkey with a banana. Jack turned but kept half his attention on the ring leader with the gun too. The knife attacker went at him head on proving his lack of skill and Jack taunted him, a simple movement of his hands and disarmed the guy, putting his arms in a lock and pulling him in a little closer. The ring leader was getting antsy and held out his gun at Jack. "I'll shoot you man." Jack just smiled. "You'll shoot your buddy if you shoot me, think twice." Their bodies were too close together for a real shot. Jack knew that and planned it. He was a street fighter, someone always had a gun. Jack pushed the former knife holding robber into the ring leader with the gun, whose hand was so slippery he lost control of the weapon. Flipping forward, Jack kicked it from his hand while the pair staggered back ontop of eachother and the third watched, to afraid to get up. "Don't move. And I mean it." Jack pulled a pair of ranger cuffs for each and began to cuff them.
