"Seriously kid? Have you been living under a rock the last few years or something?" Who were the power rangers? They were the protectors of New Tech City, everyone..wait, he wasn't in his world. It dawned on him. He sighed and ran a hand through his dreadlocks pushing a few of them away from his face with an exasperated glance at the teenager beside him. Why was he still there anyway, did he suddenly think he was going to be a side kick or something? Jack didn't do sidekicks. " Nevermind. Forget it." He stated with a shrug and small smirk. He still wasn't too fond of the past, and things like this made him remember why, but he was adjusting at least. He could deal.
"Nope. With moves like that the only thing they are getting is three to five years." He mused and looked back as well with an amused mirth. " It's both. They had weapons, but none of them had any amount of skill." He added flatly. "There were three of them and one of me, and none of them could even hold their weapon right." Jack didn't understand why they decided being a criminal was the best way to go. They were probably just family men with no objective.
"Your own fight club..?" Wasn't that Spike's shtick? "..Well.." He thought it over and looked him over trying to decide if it was a good plan. Having someone to watch his back couldn't be too bad could it? Unless the kid was flat out lying and then they were both fucked if one of them got hurt. "Fine. But watch your back. And no guns." He instructed pointedly not wanting to be shot any time soon.
