Just doing the right thing? Oh, okay. Puck scoffed a little, shooting an amused look back at the pile of crooks that Jack had single-handedly taken down. He didn't know about Jack, but kicking that kind of ass was way more cool than the type of stuff he'd been more used to back home. If he wanted a touch of violence in his life, all he'd had to do was find Hummel and toss him into the nearest dumpster for shits and giggles. This was more honorable, he guessed. But the way Puck saw it? There was no way that this guy wasn't in it for the violence. You didn't go around busting people up like that if you weren't in it for the hurt. People didn't become cops or detectives or whatever because they wanted to hug, hold hands, and play nice. They wanted to kick some serious amounts of ass. That was what this guy had done. Which meant that, somehow, he liked to bring the pain. Anyone who was capable of causing that much hurt without walking away with so much as a limp in their leg was all right by him, that was for sure.
"Yeah, I got dragged here not too long ago. Weird, huh? All this stuff. It's not anything like what you'd see back home." Puck gestured to the guys scattered on the ground, glancing over his shoulder toward the direction in which the sirens could be heard wailing in the distance. "You're not gonna tell 'em that you dropped this guys? Isn't that what you're supposed to do?" Why wouldn't he want to turn them in all official-like and stuff? "Wait a second..." Puck paused, suddenly looking less than enthused. "You're not a cop, are you? Dude, you're like - are you like a superhero or something?" Puck suddenly found the idea to be way more kickass than him being a cop. Cops were pigs anyway. Who wanted to be a freakin' cop when you could be a superhero? This guy didn't have a costume (or if he did, it wasn't a very good one), but he had taken these baddies on without breaking a sweat and wasn't trying to be seen by any cops. To Puck, that sort of thing screamed vigilante.
Puck sent another uncertain look in the direction of the cop cars that were starting to pile around the corner and into the street, then nodded and started forward. Right. They couldn't be seen. Even if Puck thought that this guy should've taken the credit for stopping these guys. Maybe the cops would give him money or something. Who didn't want money? Fame? All that shit? He could be a superhero and recognized for his awesome, right? Puck certainly didn't see any rules out there that said he couldn't. Superman and Spider-Man did it all the time - people knew all about them, right? "Either that or they were going to get really rich..." Puck pointed out, shrugging. He wasn't going to judge those guys for stealing. He did it time to time himself when he had no other way to get stuff. It was how it was. He didn't come from a rich family and he didn't make too much with the job he had. Not even the one back home really did much for him. Puck wasn't like Hummel, where he could get money when and wherever he wanted no matter how much. He had to work for everything he had, clothes in his back included. "So where we going, man? You gonna kick more ass? Need some back-up?"
