You think you know London, its streets and alleys like the creases of your palm. You don't know all its secrets. In its depths are places to buy amulets and tarot readings, a talisman that permits the wearer to manipulate luck hangs alongside bottles of herbs and demon's blood. Books so ancient the pages are tissue-thin jostle against postcards of buses and telephone boxes. There are bars where the clientele don't just find the dim light flattering, but downright necessary, and the smell of brimstone lingers in the nostrils. There are corners and recesses where magic isn't trickery or sleight of hand, but blood and bone and flesh and you might -- you might -- catch sight of feathers pure as snow and light, if you know where to go. If you know how to see. There's a pitched battle being fought for this other London and your London besides -- one in which every human in existence is being counted in a gamble for souls, Heaven and Hell trying to tip the scales and grave-faced Librarians holding them steady. And all the time, people go about their lives with a little pinch of something extra in a London you'll never see.

A Zombie Apocalypse RPG: Crossroads

[info]ladyelleth
[info]wanna_rp

The Walking Dead began to roam our streets during that hot summer. A plague, an underground movement, a stirring of bad air, no one knows for certain where they came from. We were caught at unawares - and how quickly they brought us to our knees. The illness broke out on three continents simultaneously, spread rapidly to the rest of the world, and even military strikes were overwhelmed by the tireless, single-minded effort to swell the force of the Walking Dead.

They tore apart civilization as we know it, and in its death-throes, strange events are occurring, if anything in the age of the Walking Dead can be regarded as strange any longer. They - strangers from other lands and times - are coming, more with every day, blending in among the terrified survivors. They are welcome as long as they are willing to lend a hand to our cause. Few enough strongholds still remain, and God knows we need the assistance.

- Mackenzie Ilyich, interim mayor of Crossroads

They called the generation following the Second World War: The Baby Boomers. They were supposed to make the world a better place, and free from tyranny. However, like most things in this world no matter how hard you try, bad things happen. The Second War came and went, destroying just about everything in its path. Heroes rose, villains fell, sacrifices were made in the name of justice. Following the fall of the Dark Lord, and the Second War it was only natural that the trend from the past continue. Those who had survived carried on, to pass the torch down to their children, a new generation that seemed to spring out of the ashes.

This new generation, the Boomer Generation as they're now being called, was raised with the hope that they'd be able to create a new world, a better one, one that wouldn't fail into the habits of their parents generation. However, this can be said for both sides. For the children of the defeated have been growing with their own ideas to correct their sides own flaws, becoming more powerful everyday and the time is growing closer to unleashing their plan on the world...

Now Open! A ton of characters still available! Most Wanted:Scorpius Malfoy, Marc Montague, Aria Peakes, Albus Potter, Cormac Rivers, Hugo Weasley, Percival Zabini. Many characters still open!

Musings

MODSRPGLOGSOOCSQUEE

A FICTIONAL ESSENCES GAME
WorldTakenHeldWantedRulesApply

Musings has always existed, a world alongside our world.

In Musings, people live the way we do, eat the same food we do, love the same way we do, and work the same minimum wage jobs we do. The differences? They all have their roots in fictional characters, and they are immortal.

Though they are not the characters themselves, they carry in them the essences of characters from fiction. The sources that they spring from do not exist for them, but they are based on fiction we are familiar with all the same - though no one has ever read a Batman comic, there is a rich young man who uses his money to fight the forces of evil that destroyed his life. Though Moby Dick was never written, a sailor still stalks the bars of a town on the sea, watching, waiting.

Now, a portal has opened between the world of Musings and the mortal world, and the Creations (as they call themselves) have begun crossing over in droves. Now, they have abilities that they did not have in their own world, abilities that they can choose to do with what they will. There is no great prescribed fate for these echoes of fiction, only the destinies they choose to weave for themselves - living and losing on the shores of a new world.

Most Wanted: Fiyero (Wicked), Night Owl II (Watchmen), Mycroft (Sherlock Holmes), The Doctor (Doctor Who), Lex Luthor (Superman), Ophelia (Hamlet).

November 1998.

It has been six months since the end of the Second Wizarding War, and things are finally starting to settle down. The blanket of safety the Wizarding world so enjoyed after the defeat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named at the hands of Harry Potter eighteen years ago has been restored, this time at the hands of newly elected Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt. His administration assures the public the restored security of their hidden world as they move past their time of crisis.

In truth, the Ministry is in more of a state of shambles than Shacklebolt would like to let on. New Aurors have been pushed through training in record time and are working to eradicate the last of the Death Eaters from society- both within the Ministry and out. However the Dark Lord's followers aren't being quite as cooperative as the Ministry should like- faced with ultimate judgement for their past crimes and still in denial over the final fall of their master (and all he had promised), many stuck in the old ways are stubbornly resisting the new regime of peace- while those new to the cause who missed their chance at blood during the war are gathering in the hopes of new revivals.

The identities of those responsible for the various acts of vandalism, petty crime, and general mayhem are still unknown; no evidence has been unearthed that would link known Death Eaters or Dark supporters to any of the crimes. The only thing the Aurors know for sure is that as the wizarding world moves closer to reconstruction, the protests against them are becoming increasingly severe...

Deceit is rampant; trust is more valuable than ever before. And yet the community perserveres, striving to rebuild their world and resume the lives they'd known.

Where will your allegiances fall?

Owl Post Again is a Post-Warts, trio era RPG. We are canon through November 1980, at which point the rest is up to you..

Currently we are most interested in: Harry, ex-Death Eaters and their trio-aged progeny, Aurors, Ministry folk, and basically anyone you can think of.

If you go down in the woods today...you’re sure of a big surprise.

There are some new neighbors in Harpers Valley, West Virginia though it isn't the neat little townhouses or apartment complex that they're occupying. And like good neighbors they've decided to be hospitable to their new town-mates, though only a select few. Move over Tom's Pool Hall, there's a new hot spot in Harper's Valley and if you're one the young teenagers who've been put on the Guest list, you should count yourself lucky or should you?. After all, anyone who's ever read Shakespeare knows that no one knows how to throw a party quite like the Fae.

If you go down to the woods these days, you're in for a big surprise...
