Boomer Gen-The OOC Community

Hello everyone! So, this is kind of an important announcement, so you might want to listen up. Don't worry, nothing bad. :) Since the game has been going on for over a year, and with such a tight knit group of players and an amazing cast of characters, after a long discussion by Kassi and myself over the last few week we've made a decision. We want to keep the game open, but we're going to change the status of the game to a "group psl". What that basically means is that we're getting rid of the activity requirement. Kassi and I will still maintain everything and add in new characters as you guys feel like adding them/dropping them/whatever. So, go out there! Have some fun! Feel free to jump around time wise (future, past, present...whatever really!), and just...explore these amazing characters.

And on a personal note. I can't thank you guys enough for what you've guys have done/will do here. This was the first game I created and modded and I feel like it's my baby, so you guys are the best, and I really hope that you'll stick around and have some fun in here now that it's a bit more open and virtually anything is a possibility.

Hello everyone my name is JenJen or Jen or Jenerator or J-Rock the ORIGINAL! Either way I bring to you one Mr. Teddy Lupin!

What to even say about him other than he's Teddy freaking Lupin? Apparently that is all I need to say which says quite a bit. Teddy is a really friendly guy, who loves life, loves his wife and loves being able to become anyone he so chooses. Not that he would ever abuse his abilities as a Metamorphmagus...oh no, not him. It's not like he always changed himself into someone that cheesed him off that day when he was going around causing mischief in school and totally let them take the fall and the detention. With that in mind one wouldn't have thought that he would have found himself in Gryffindor, but apparently the sorting hat found that something special in him that put the other houses to shame.

Teddy, now 27 and happily married to Victoire Weasley, is the proud owner of the Instant Cavity in Diagon Alley. What is that you ask? First of all he answers with a 'HOW DARE YOU!' but putting him aside for a moment, the Instant Cavity is a brightly coloured sweet shop with just about anything you can imagine filling the shelves. His sweet tooth mixed with a crazy and rather childish imagination has lead to quite a number of Teddy Originals such as Veela Puffs, after his wife, which is essentially an extremely sparkly and insanely sweet marshmellow. Addictive and dangerous just as the first part of their name suggests. He has also renamed a number of muggle goodies that purebloods would never know about simply for his own amusement. Teddy really is a big kid at heart.

Anything else you would like to know is in his application and I look forward to any and ALL plot details you can think of! Come one! Come all! Teddy Lupin's really lawl! :D

Okay everyone, time to run it to remove Trin and her characters.

This is how it works, nice simple, easy and totally optional (we don't want you to feel as if we're forcing you into this after all). Every character has been randomly paired up with another character and have been given a scene to do. The scenes are only described with a sentence or two to allow for maximum creativity and fun you don't have to start off with it, but it should happen at some point in the scene. They don't have to be terribly long, and they don't have to have some plot weight to them, it's just for fun and to get people interacting with other people and just seeing what they can come up with. With that being said, if you get to the 5 comments per character goal it'll for sure count as your activity! And naturally, I know there's a lot here, so don't feel like you have to do all of them, however, we'd like it if you tried at least one of them. I tried to make it so that there was no self play but if I botched it, let me know so I can fix it! ♥

Okay guys! I'm still getting together the scene lotteries (I had to work all weekend and didn't get much done...but it'll be up no later than Thursday), but in the mean time, I pose a challenge for you!

Okay, so because I've been made of fail this summer, and for the want of getting things back on track, I give you The Quiddtich World Cup review, and the schedule for the final round that will take place throughout August, the finals match, no matter who it is, will take place in the South of England on August 27th, the top two points leaders from the round that's happening in August will play for the Championship. Tickets will start to go on sale for the Championship game in mid August.

Okay guys. So, after talking with a lot of you, I've kind of come to a conclusion. Here at Boomers we need to be doing a better job of getting everyone involved and move away from the character specific plots and more into game wide plots. Which I'm totally for, and was the original intention, but somewhere down the line that stopped happening (not saying that we should stop them completely because as always I want everyone to feel like as if they have an idea, that we'll be here to listen and do our best to make it happen, but we'll just try and make it effect game wide rather than just two or three people.). However, this is my promise to you guys. Things will change, and things will get better.

To start things off, I figured it might be fun to do a scene lottery. That way people can interact with other people, throw characters together that might not interact with one another on a regular basis, mix things up, and give the game a fresh breath of air. I'm going to spend the weekend putting them together and sometime next week we'll start doing that. And if it goes well, we might try and make it a regular thing. :)

As always, I'm fully dedicated to this game and I want the best for you guys so if you have suggestions for plot, things you'd like to see, ways we can improve, please, please, please feel to either leave a comment here, or talk to me on aim. :) I'm going to do a better job keeping on top of people to keep active and update their characters more (emails will be sent out this weekend), and if you have to drop kids, drop them, it's not the end of the world, and I'll understand. Also for the threads, you'll notice that I tweaked the requirements just a bit. To have a thread count, each person must have at least five comments. Nothing earth shattering, but I figured that this gives a little more of a concreteness to it than anything.

So with that said, I love you guys so much, thanks for listening and sticking with us through everything (which btw, we're almost a full year being open). And with that being said, make sure to run it because we do have a few drops.

As you noticed I kind of fell off the face of the planet. I truly do blame life - between various RP things across various games, extra work days (that really were an hour or two more, BUT were in the middle of the day!), a fun friday of "Oh you're taking down the 70 year old pine and the 30 year old but still taller black walnuts TODAY?!" and then a MASSIVE craft show on Saturday, I just haven't had my head screwed on. Today the tree guys are coming to finish the black walnut. It sits right next to my lilac tree, my awesome new 6x4 board clothesline, the shed and well the cars, so I'm going to be standing on the back patio, camera in hand, making sure they don't drop it on my shit. (they dropped the top of the pine on their own crane on accident. JUST missed the propane tank. if they had hit that, I wouldn't be here today as I was on the shop roof, just behind the tank!) so if I don't reply to messages, thats why!

It turns out REALLY bad dehydration and the flu feel very similar. Up until you have a Capri Sun straw shoved into your arm by a crazy, psycho nurse at the naval hospital who just says, "small pinch." Anyway, a week of no sleep, two bags of fluids and 4 hours with an IV in my arm and I remember why I hate hospitals. =] BUT I'M BACK NOW WHO WANTS A THREAD >=D

So lovelies, I'll be MIA from Friday to Sunday. I have a MASSIVE craft fair to go to on Saturday about an hour and a half from my house. It's gonna be a long weekend folks. For those of you who don't know, I sell\make\create\bleed over this stuff!
