 PREMISE Welcome to your new home. Set in crime-ridden Dark City Treno, dominated by alcohol, drugs and weapons, this place is constantly immersed in a perpetual state of darkness. Heavy black clouds loom overhead, sometimes bringing rain but never breaking to let in the sun. The city has evolved to match its environment; business is shady, outlooks are bleak, and it is unclear whether there is still light behind the clouds at all. Even the brightest linings offer little hope. In the corner flower shop, full of carnations and spools of cheap ribbon, black market narcotics and hallucinogens change hands. The local pub, complete with Guinness on tap, reserves the back three tables for weapons dealers to do business. Criminals of all types seem drawn to the city, attracted to the dark environment the city offers.  The Wizarding World has seen its fair share of suffering, such as the reign of Lord Voldemort that occurred not once, but twice. But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him. Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard. Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat. Will your student follow the rules or say Bugger All! to them? |

Family. Everyone wants one, but not everyone wants the one they have. Some are born alone in the world, some loose what semblance of a family they have through divorce, death, or distance. But not all families are blood relatives. The most curious types of families that come together because of a common attitude, interest, or goals. They find each other because they need the comforts of family and an ideal that will stick them together when other families would crumble apart. The loyalty and devotion to this new family entity becomes so strong in these cases that outsiders don’t quite understand what’s really going on.
After seeing the world around him reject him for what he was, Samuel looked for others like him, others who knew what it was like to be an outcast but no longer wanted that lifestyle for themselves. The family came first, and then the carnival was created so they could live, work, and thrive together. The carnival gave them a way to show off what others found horrifying – their abilities. It isn’t all fun and games though at the carnival – there is hard work and everyone has to do their part, but when you’re family, you do things for others that you might not do on your own.
A commitment to this carnival is a commitment to being in the family. It isn’t always easy to join the family, but it’s even harder to leave. Most never want to though, who would give up the chance of a lifetime – to be wanted, needed even, and be able to truly be themselves?

CHERUB was created for one reason, and one reason only - adults never suspect that children are spying on them. It all began with a suggestion made by British agent Charles Henderson in the late 80s--by 1992 the government began adopting and training orphans in private facilities. Thus Project CHERUB had begun: child agents. Now these child agents, aged between ten and seventeen, are being placed under the guardianship of senior agents and relocated to Pleasant Valley, Pennsylvania. Population: just enough to consider it a town. There, these agent "families" must assimilate into suburbia and live the lives of normal everyday civilians. But they're not normal, far from it. They're adolescent and teenage spies, assassins, recovery agents-- For official purposes, these children do not exist.. Project Cherub is a small town game set in Pleasant Valley, Pennsylvania--focusing on the lives and interactions of cherubs; the fruits of Project CHERUB, child agents relocated there as they are sent out on missions, given assignments, and struggle with the ever day ups and downs of the public education system, guardians; the government agents assigned to observe, guard, and "raise" their assigned cherub by posing as family, and civilians; who have no idea just how strange the "new kids" on the block really are. Remember when you could join a game, have a good time, and not be tied down by tons of rules and given dozens of information posts to read every other day? This is the experience that Tiberius Swann promises to give all of its players! Joining a game is not supposed to be like joining a class, where you have to learn a large tome of rules and regulations, where you have to meet a certain criteria and follow strict guidelines. We offer the opportunity to be creative, to come up with your own storylines and go with the flow, to ad lib to your own background and allow your characters to develop naturally and any way you see fit. We are open to dark storylines, slash storylines, happy storylines, dramatic storylines, downright dirty storylines, and anything else you can come up with that makes sense. We are happy to welcome new races (or just a twist on an old one). Set in a educational institute and haven for supernaturals, the Tiberius Swann Detention Facility is the first school of its kind to open within the public eye. First started in 1997, Tiberius Swann opened the doors to the school to give shelter to the selected few supernatural students who reached the requirements he set forth. Gradually the numbers of both staff and students grew, turning TJS into the best facility of its kind in the country. Under the new direction of Dr. Hope O'Shea, the facility is changing its original course, teaching students to intergrate themselves into the outside world instead of merely provoding them a haven from it. |
