BRITANNIA
Located in the western part of the state, this mid-sized town has mostly failed to live up to its grandiose name. It's big enough that no one knows everyone else, small enough that a new face is noticeable. The leaves are lovely in the fall, tourists stop through with reasonable regularity, and nothing much ever changes.
Or didn't.
Some of the townspeople have dreams. Recurring dreams about blood, and horses, and steel. About silken gowns, and hawking, and high spires. About loyalties and rivalries long faded into legend.
Most of them have shrugged the dreams off. They're only dreams. But things are beginning to change after all.
Britannia, NY is a brand-new Arthurian game set in the present day. Arthur has returned, but so has his sister-enemy, Morgan. Characters will have to come to grips with past life memories, choose a side, forge alliances -- and hope to prevail.

In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus. Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington. The Quarantine continued. The Americas lay abandoned. Empty. |

It was the middle of the night in the United States, midday halfway around the world. The earth decided we were not taking care of her in the way she thought she needed to be cared for and was going to eradicate the problem herself. No one was expecting what would happen. Tectonic plates shifted, all seven major and all of the minor. Massive earthquakes ripped through the globe toppling buildings deemed indestructible, igniting pockets of natural gasses, erupting long dormant volcanoes, causing tidal waves and tsunami's, and spreading craters in the ocean floor so grossly that entire blocks of land were swollen and lost to the deep before anyone had time to react. When all was said and done, only three hours later, the earth was no longer the same and never would be again. Along with the destruction, something else happened, something quiet that no one has realized. A window to the past has been opened. It has been noticed on the other side, in a place of mist, magic, and chivalry. They have seen they can leave to enter this strange world but to step through to the other side is almost too frightening to chance. But someone has chanced it. The question is, where do you fall in this new world? Will you fight on honors side, or fight against everything you know to be right. The choice is yours. Think hard, and never forget your destiny could change...just by opening a door. |

Mutation is the next step in human evolution. There is no known, definitive number of mutants living in the world today, and not all of them are obvious; many of them walk among the "baseline" humans completely undetected. They would prefer to remain anonymous due to hostility and fear, as many mutants have been the victims of hate crimes. There are few places mutants can congregate and live among their kind. Charles Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters was one such place, as was its sister school, the Massachusetts Academy. Neither were publically billed as mutant havens yet many mutants found their way to these sanctuaries and were taken care of, taught to harness their abilities and flourish. They were taught that mutant/human relations were important if both groups were to ever co-exist. But even as these mutants were taught the peaceful way, there were humans who felt the need for strength in numbers, banding together in groups such as the Friends of Humanity. Human on mutant crime was rarely prosecuted and, for the most part, silently condoned, as the human authorities felt somewhat powerless to stop super-humans. In the wake of anti-mutant legislation introduced in the US Senate, the mutant known as Magneto took over the island nation of Genosha and, after overturning the government there, turns Genosha into a haven for mutantkind. Thousands flock to this paradise, where Magneto is the ultimate authority. And then, in January 2008, a mysterious explosion destroyed Xavier's Institute. The headmaster and several residents were declared dead, and the rest scattered, most of the students there being transferred to the sister school in Boston run by Emma Frost. Recently, after extensive reconstruction aided by Warren Worthington III, Xavier's Institute has been rebuilt and reopened. For unknown reasons, it is Logan who is now the headmaster and the leader of the X-Men, with the aid of Ororo Munroe. |

The Greek Gods are bored There's not much to do on Mount Olympus these days. The world has changed, and with it the mentality of people. In Ancient Greece, the gods were admired, feared, and respected. It has been centuries since humans worshiped them, centuries since people truly believed in them. Now they're nothing more than myths and cold marble status resting in museums or in squares gathering dust. Zeus and the rest of the Gods have made a decision: To come down from Mount Olympus disguised as mortals, as they used to do in the past. They wouldn't be reborn as mortals, though. They chose an adult mortal body and appeared on earth. So it became time the Gods had fun again... And what better way than to become students and join the Greek System at Dartwood University, located in Southern California? |

The year is 2009 and there are superheroes among us. Not only that, there are a lot of them. They're on the streets, keeping them free of crime, and New Carthage City is the cleanest it's been in years, save for South New Carthage, but we don't talk about that…
New Carthage City, Indiana is a town currently defended by a crack team of supers (and the odd civilian) known as the "Saints". At least, the Northwest is; nobody's allowed to go into the South without express permission of Mr. Lancaster, head of the Lancaster Group. Mr. Lancaster has a not so secret weapon over the government of New Carthage, and it's the only thing stopping the Saints from sweeping in and deposing him. All he wants is to be left alone, and the government is only too happy to oblige (assuming certain "perks" are acknowledged, of course).
This leaves the rest of the population in a difficult position--do you tolerate the corruption like the government is? Or do you fight it with any means at your disposal? For the ones who chose to fight, there's prime real estate in the East. All you've gotta do is get yourself a secret identity and prepare to leave the law behind. You've already done that? Good. NEW CARTHAGE CITY
We’re a brand new RP for people who always wished they had super powers. Or if they just wanted to play a character with them. Or if they just want to try out a new RP because they’re bored and have nothing better to do. This game contains elements of the films/novels Watchmen, and Sin City and features “supers” living side by side with humans. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t always go smoothly.

News of an escape from Azkaban, of Death Eaters threatening the quiet that has been, of the Ministry covering the story up... Until a major attack forces the Ministry into action, forcing them to act with force to catch those responsible. In these times, Aurors and hit-wizards are given more authority as more and more rules and laws are created, restricting ordinary life as the Ministry tries to persuade people they're safe from harm. Only who benefits from these new rules? Who is using them? And why is the most wanted Death Eater since the war suddenly in the Ministry's good graces? Let your character help to sort out what is real from what is false... |

| Enigma is a role-playing game based on the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. The setting takes place six years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ends and the game is canon compliant to all seven books (minus the epilogue). We are looking for creative and active players who want to build a story not only for their characters but for the game as a whole as well. People who are not afraid to let the new laws and rules affect their character's lives. Speculation, attempts of finding those missing and solving the mystery are all welcomed with open arms. All levels of experience are welcome, as long as you're willing to commit to the game and the events that unfold in it. |

| PROLOGUE |
You wake up one morning with a headache, you wonder if you're hung-over but you didn't drink anything last night so that can't be it and after taking a painkiller and heading to work you forget all about it. A few days later you think you back to your childhood and there's a memory that doesn't fit, it doesn't make sense and you try not to think about it because it sets you and edge and makes you feel uncomfortable. It doesn't stop. Maybe weeks go by, or maybe it's months, and someone turns up on your doorstep. Maybe they look official, or they're wearing jeans and a T-Shirt, but they introduce themselves and tell you that they're from something called 'The Agency', they sit you down and if you're lucky they'll make you a cup of tea or pour you a drink before explaining it all to you. The memories are real, but they're someone else's, someone you always thought of as fictional. You're what they call a reincarnate, someone who's been reincarnated from this fictional person, brought into this world with magic that no one yet understands. They talk about a war that's being fought between two sides of reincarnates, the good and the bad. You're not told what side to pick or that you need to, but you know that a day will come when you and the person you were and are possibly becoming will need to choose. |
