Veritas is a post-hogwarts slightly AU (For book 7) RPG taking place in the year 2003.

In a post-war world, everything consists of layers. A muggleborn charity known as Wizards for Muggles is actually a front for am ominous agenda: A Pureblood dilution scheme. Halfbloods and muggleborns have been recruited to woo certain purebloods. What happens when actual feelings become involved? Nothing is ever black or white, and that's just the beginning of the story that we've begun to weave.

Currently, a scheme by the Squib Intergrations Foundation to cause witches to lose their magic has just been wrapped up...but on the horizon a new event awaits: A strange plant ....and a strange side-effect....

PREMISE;;

Genetic mutation has always been a dirty little secret, one that wasn't easily kept. The government used to be in control of these anomalies, but there was a large jump in numbers at the turn of the millennium. More and more children were coming up with signs of genetic mutation, and blame was being placed everywhere it could be. Government testing, herbal supplements, a new enemy's war tactic, global warming, and the breakdown of the genetic structure itself. There was no explanation to give the families of those changed, and the government's only suggested cure was containment. (continued) It seemed like things were going to change for the better after the death of President McCannials. Miles Griffin took the office gladly, with an image of hope for the mutants. He'd brought back their rights, given them their lives back. The hospital was gone, and seemingly, the testing had stopped. But, Miles Griffin had other plans down his sleeve. By giving them their rights back, the mutants could be used in Government and Military means. Shortly after the downfall of the first mutant hospital, mutants began disappearing again. This rang many bells to the world, wondering why, on earth, mutants were disappearing. And in such large numbers, too.

Metahuman is an original mutant story line based in New York City. We are a fun, active, friendly and drama-free community, seeking more! The game is futuristic (in a sense), and takes place in 2021. We allow humans, as well as mutants. The game circles around life between humans and mutants, and how they cope with one another. They had finally made it. Friends embraced each other, lovers kissed, and children bounced happily. The truce between the Cylons and Humans remained steady as each gazed upon the beautiful planet known as Earth. They had found their new home, and they were going to share it. The planet would help continue the existence of each race, or so they thought. The few that were given the chance to step foot on the ground soon found the planet not to be up to their expectations. There was nothing left; the planet was in ruin. Something had happened many years before their arrival. How could this desolate place be home of the Thirteenth Tribe? How could it be home to anyone? The group looked over the land, unable to comprehend what could possibly have done this to a planet. There was silence; everyone was too surprised to speak, and too downtrodden to suggest that it was only part of the planet. Before anyone had a chance to return to the Raptor, Dr. Gaius Balter stumbled across a piece of technology that was foreign to him. He stood in front of the DHD and peered over it, recognizing the shapes as constellations. In fact, he recognized quite a few of them, from this galaxy and their home galaxy. As he examined the device, Six appeared next to it, whispering in his ear and telling him to punch in a certain code. He listened to her, and did as he was told. Within moments, the watery-vortex that was the wormhole burst forth through the ring-like portal and the group was taken aback. The group cautiously approached the Stargate, curious as to what type of technological capabilities the 'Thirteenth Tribe' possessed. It was Kara Thrace, triggered by something in her memories, that passed through the Event Horizon first, followed shortly after by Lee and Sam. It wasn't long until the rest of the group made their way through. What awaited them on the other side was something that would surprise them even more: the past. A glitch in the system allowed the group to bypass Atlantis' precautionary measures, and they all arrived on the other side, guns pointed at them and Dr. Elizabeth Weir gazing down at them. And that is where the battle for humanity continued, for the groups all worked together to keep the Wraith and Ori from teaming up and destroying Earth together... The Event Horizon is a Battlestar Galactica/Stargate RP that allows for most characters from the series (New BSG, SG-1 & Atlantis) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place during the last season of SG-1/season 3 of Atlantis and the last season of BSG. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still. There is a whole range of characters available, and OCs are welcomed. If you think you are ready to cross the Event Horizon, then we're here to meet you on the other side. The Story

Sam and Dean Winchester are brothers fighting off the Supernatural: Demons, Witches, etc. They never had real problems with it until a new Demon rises up to lead the rest of the Demons to control the world. Lilith. In the past five years, Dean and Sam have been recruiting hunters to help put down the powerful Demon. They are making a Band of Hunters. Sam and Dean only chose the most skillful and most knowledge of hunters to join the band.

During those years, demons have been breaking through hell with the help of their Master Lord, Lilith. She's been breaking through the gates of hell releasing demons to help her reach her goal: Take over the world. Most demons are very committed to Lilith, but for the other few, they are not. The demons that are committed to Lilith would do anything for her. Even risk going back to Hell. But for the other few, their only interest is not to go back to Hell and cause chaos. "Fun" chaos for them, but have no intention on helping Lilith.

It's a war between the Demons and the Hunters. Pick your side.

About the Community

Band of Hunters is a RPG based on the CW's Supernatural Series. It's a mix of OC characters and the TV Show's characters. You could be Sam Winchester, or you can be a made up character like Brian Hayner, or something like that. This is a new community, so please don't join just because of the lack of members! We need active people that will really help this community grow and become successful! So join bandofhunters over HERE at Livejournal.

The Mortal City.

It's a place of many choices. Left or Right. Up or Down. Light or Dark. Right... or Wrong.

It has a life of it's own. A power that pulses through it's streets, humming in the electric glow that rises among the steel buildings that stand like a giant forest. This power calls to people, draws them in like a moth to a flame. They come in the hopes of gaining some of that life, that energy. It brings with it the promise of wealth and comfort beyond imagination. But the city is not always such a safe place. The rules of the world do not apply here. Those who have the power make the rules.

In a city this large there are many with power. The lawmakers and enforcers try hard to keep the peace-to keep the city running in smooth and proper order. But there is another order in the city. One of honor and respect that promises protection of it's own. Protection that can be paid for in money, sex, or in blood. Most people fall somewhere in between, in the foggy grey between the light and the shadows trying to find their way. They can stay there in the grey, unnoticed and underfoot. Or they can try their luck choosing a side.
