1. Be nice! Flames and the like are not welcome here. We pride ourselves on our ooc-dramaLESS community. Problems with other players should be kept out of the game. Also, any conflicts between IN GAME characters should not be taken personally. If you have an issue with someone, or if you think someone is treating you unfairly, contact the mods. 2. You must make a post about once a week. A post is considered to be an RP post or a journal post. Only commenting in other people's journals does not count to this quota. Commenting to an RP post and making yourself part of that RP thread, does count. That said, one cannot only post RP threads. Journals must be updated at least once every two-three weeks. If you're going away, or will be particularly busy for a week or two, we totally understand, just let us know before the busyness spell hits you. Of course, two months of busyness is a different matter, and such large grace periods may unfortunately not be given. If you consistently are inactive, then your character will have to be dropped from the RP. You will however be provided a warning before this would happen. 3. Concerning your character: no Mary-suiesm. Enough said. If one of the mods feels that your character is to Mary-Sueish, don’t take it personally! Just make the appropriate adjustments and have yourself a nice glass of orange juice. Also, in terms of slash, we are friendly. That said, however, main characters such as Harry, Draco, even Cho, will not be allowed to be homosexual. Canon people, canon. A small percentage of students will be allowed to be homosexual or bisexual, but not a majority. Also, if you apply as a heterosexual character and want to change this, you must FIRST obtain permission from the mod. Keep in mind, that permission may not be granted due to the character in question or if there is already a large number of homosexual characters in play. 4. Rping is done in descriptive third character. Comments in journals are obviously done in first person. Also, don’t god mod. You are responsible for your character(s) and your character(s) only. You cannot control other characters without asking the player, first. That means you can’t kill them off, you can’t make them go places/do things that they haven’t RPed themselves. However, if you think you see god modding going on in the RP, don’t go ballistic on that person and call a town meeting. The supposed “god modder” most likely asked the other player for permission. If another player is manipulating your character without your permission, bring it to the mods. 5. Let’s be professional. If you’re leaving the RP, inform a mod first before making an OOC announcement. 6. Crazy story lines are always fun. But some are a bit dramatic, and MUST BE presented to a mod before being put in place. Dramatic story lines include pregnancy, rape, coma, unusual relationships (such as an adult with a student), etc, etc. I think you get the drill. If you’re really not sure if it should be run by a mod or not, ask anyways. Finally, the RP is at maximum, R-rated. 7. You must be at least 16 to join. There are some mature themes in this RP. |
