WHO: Alexis & David
WHAT: HELLO BROTHER
WHERE: Morningside, Alexis' apartment
WHEN: Tonight
WARNINGS: TBD but probably not
STATUS: In progress
The last time Alexis had seen David (like, actually David and not some fake ghost or whatever) he'd been here, in Vallo, freaking out over the circumstances of having just appeared in this strange new world. Her own arrival had been close to his so they'd sort of been freaking out together, David more so than her - he was composed of firing synapses and a jangle of nerves, maybe some muscle and bone and tea and an all-black wardrobe. But he hadn't stayed here very long. Just long enough for Rose Apothecary to show up, then he disappeared - leaving her on her own. And to look after his store. Now she was well-established; she'd been here awhile, seeing the seasons change and watching people come and go - she found a job in her field, she looked after the Apothecary because she missed David, she went on dates and made friends and then finally found herself an amazing boyfriend and she just. Moved along. Got a smoothie or an iced coffee everyday, developed her routine - she was actually happy here, weirdly enough? Because being in Vallo on her own made sure she proved to herself that she could find her way, even in a city where most everyone seemed magical or had superpowers or happened to be a character from a DnD game. That she was strong enough to do so. She decided not to tell David he'd been here before, yet, she just brought him a tea with extra sugar and then walked him back to her apartment - number 903, taking the elevator up and letting them inside. "So, like - welcome," she announced, slipping out of her shoes and being utterly grateful to be barefoot. Her style in the apartment was pretty beatnik, much like her wardrobe - rooms packed with colors and textures and a couple cacti she hadn't killed, plus some hanging plants she usually remembered to water. "Do you want something to drink that's stronger than tea?" |
