Just a heads up that the DOA school will be starting up again on September 1st. We offer classes to get you up to speed to take the testing required for a High School diploma, and will work around any crazy this place likes to throw at us. As well if you've never been to school before or have any other concerns we try to make it pretty easy and relaxed.

Core classes run Monday through Thursday in the mornings and we have electives available in the afternoon. If you'd like to sign up for classes let me know here and I'll get you sorted. If anyone here would be interested in helping out with the instruction end just let me or Vanya know.

ooc: sign people up here please!

That's because you're learning on the job here. But there is a chance you might not want to work at Boyd's forever, and having at least a diploma will give you options you may not have right now.

Aw man, not you too.

I've HAD school and people don't know how to teach people like me back home.

Yeah, me too.

But we're not in your home, and I promise you that things are different. And I bet with a little research, we can find a bunch of people who can teach you and supplement the lessons you learn with Gladio and Vanya.

I reserve the right to quit if I don't like it.

If school is not for you, sure. You know yourself best. But you can't quit because it's hard. I'll help you with your work if you want.

The dot langu You mean Braille? I don't know it, but we can find someone else to teach you us.

I guess Sokka invented it back home but it's a special code between us and not the same as the one here, Lin knows that one.

Zuko was supposed to be my eyes for other stuff.

If you already know some kind of code, it might be easier to pick up Braille here. It's just like learning another language.

And Zuko was, but you have a lot of people who will take up the role if you'll let them. That is until you can do it on your own.

Reading WOULD be nice, not everything comes in the audio books.

I can do ANYTHING on my own that anyone else can do. It's fine, I don't need him.

They should for accessibility reasons, but there's more freedom in being able to interchange methods. You might discover you're better at absorbing academic information through reading rather than listening.

And you're right, you don't. But Let's just figure out who can teach us first, alright?

I've always been a nerd, you just haven't noticed until now.

I'll add that to the checklist of potential instructors: someone not lame.
