I realize I'm new here, or at least relatively so, but have I been sent somewhere else already? Everyone else nearby seems just as amazed or as confused as I, though none of us seem to have any answers. Aside from the elf at the bar who just shrugged it off as "Vallo."

To be more brief, the surrounding area in the village seems to have turned into a desert. The very hot and dry kind, which is not what I was expecting when I woke this morning.

I'd offer to show you, but I suspect you'd hate it more than I do.

Perceptive of you. I'm not really a fan of sand. Being stranded on that hideous little beach after the Nautiloid crashed was more than enough for me.

They think it'll just... turn back?

The sand is one thing, but the heat... I think this is the kind of climate we could keep Karlach safe in.

Oh. Oh. You just had to bring her up. I'd only just convinced myself I didn't miss that hulking brute.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure I miss her more than you.

I can't imagine capping off our little adventure with a return to the hells. I thought it was tiring trying to keep all the vamplings from cutting a swath through the Drow in the Underdark. But you and Karlach? Ooph.

There's a number of Lolth-sworn you could direct them at. Lovely little city called Menzobarranzan. Never been there, but I hear it's a hive of villainy.

Avernus really isn't much worse than the things we've been through. A lot more flying problems, though. Plenty of infernal machines.

Oh believe you me, I suggested it. But both Tav and Sebastian seemed to think that wanton feasting might set a rather violent precedent.

Do you truly believe you'll be able to fix what they did to her heart?

Bring them to Avernus and I believe no one would complain.

Me? No. But someone can and I'll be there to see it happen.

There's a notion.

I dearly hope you're right. It isn't fair, what happened to her.

You're not wrong, but she'd argue none of the absolute (pun intended) shit that happened to us was fair.
