It was as if a veil had been lifted off of his eyes ever since Remy had spoken those words. Pepper had been here in this universe for a long time now, was even pregnant with his other self's baby, which was technically his as well, and it immensely gnawed at his mind. He'd had his mind wiped? He'd been on the verge of a divorce because of Pepper and his love for her? All of this was news to him, and Tony honestly didn't know how to react to all of it. He'd run the gamut of emotions: anger, frustration, sadness and elation. But what was he supposed to do?

Only one thing he could do. He had to go and see her for himself. Just because he didn't trust himself, he'd take the baby with him, and secretly, he wanted Pepper to see his son. The one that could have easily been hers had it been a different time.

When Remy returned, he was waiting for her in the den, though he'd fallen asleep on the couch, his body outstretched across it with Ant just as sound asleep as him, the baby quietly sucking on his thumb with Tony's hand resting on back. Tony had dozed off while watching television to keep his mind occupied after feeding Ant.

He didn't even look peacefully asleep, either. Tony looked conflicted or worried, even as he slept, though it wasn't a wonder what with everything that had to be running through his head at the moment.

Remy inhaled and then let out a breath and then shrugged her shoulders, "I'm trying to be an adult about this whole thing considering last time I was going to leave because of it. It might be strange but hey, it's no different then hanging out with Kirk right?" maybe that was a bit much, though she didn't say it nastily or anything. "You can take Ant to see Pepper.. and that way if he wants his mommy, I'm right there.. come on then.. we don't want them to be up all night because of us.."

She may not have said it in any kind of tone, but it felt like something was implied there, which caused Tony to glare at her. "Kirk is not a carbon copy of me, either, now is he? Just looks like me. He doesn't walk, talk and act like me or carry my DNA." Sighing, he held the baby tightly and stood up off the couch. Tony really didn't want Remy to go, but he wasn't about to start a fight or it'd end up messily. "I'll call them to get the jet ready and drive us to the airfield."

"No you're right, he doesn't. Just like Pepper's not me.." she wasn't stupid, she knew why he was taking their kid along. Apparently they didn't trust each other, or themselves. Well Remy trusted herself enough, mostly. Besides she barely knew the guy and he might end up hating her. Who knew? Really it was a mess, all ways, and it was only going to get worse. "If this ends up some kind of weird foursome, you're explaining it to your daughter.." she said as she grabbed up the baby's diaper bag and then headed out of the den towards the garage where they'd be picked up.

It took a lot for the other Tony to hate someone, unless they were deliberately trying to make him hate them, which he doubted Remy would do in this case. "I never said Pepper was you. I don't compare you to her, do I?" he said, though he really didn't wait for an answer before he headed down to the garage as well. He didn't even touch on the subject of a foursome.

Tony drove them to the airfield where the jet would be waiting for them, and he made sure they had everything they needed for the baby before he boarded with Ant and Remy. It'd probably take a good two hours or so since his jet was pretty fast and didn't go the usual routes anywhere. He kept fairly quiet during the whole flight, just because he was thinking heavily about what could come of all of this.

When he asked her that question she just gave him a Look. Maybe he didn't do it outloud but she new better then to think he didn't inside his head. She got on board with them and settled herself in. Most of the time she read or played with the baby and only got sick once or twice during the whole flight. She'd been pretty lucky without any real morning sickness but being on a plane probably would have set anyone off.

Most of the time Ant slept and she read curled up next to him until they had touched down in LA. She hoped they hadn't gone to sleep yet. Though they were three hours behind so doubtful.

When she did get sick, Tony was there, asking her if she needed help or anything, still as attentive as ever regardless of what was going on in his head. As they finally touched down, Tony could see a car already waiting for them at the airfield, no doubt sent by his other self since he'd probably been monitoring when the plane was arriving. Once the plane doors opened, it was the other Tony who'd stepped out of the car to greet them.

"Well, well, someone looks pissed off," he remarked as he saw Tony coming down the stairs towards him.

Remy gathered Ant up from his portable crib in the plane, letting Tony grab the bag this time and followed him out of the plane. She spied the other Tony waiting for them with the car. Well, here went nothing. "My fault, as usual.. grumpiness must be my superpower.." she responded before Tony grumbled something of his own or said something unpleasant. "I mean... hi. Again.."

"Ignore him, he'll get over it as soon as he sees Pepper," he said as he waved off the other Tony's moodiness, and at the mention of Pepper, his face seemed to lighten up a bit. Most of Tony's problem was that it'd all been wiped from his mind. One thing he'd always had a problem with was something happening to his head, but eventually, he'd get over it and move on, just like his other self said.

"Hey...again," Tony said, smiling at Remy. His smile and mannerisms were identical to her Tony aside from he now lacked the facial hair and his own hair was just a bit longer, but it would have been hard to distinguish them apart had they both been sporting the same look. "So that's him?" he asked, pointing to the baby. "Hope ours turns out just a handsome as him," and he reached to let the baby grab his finger.

She just nodded her head again, "Yeah I'm sure.." she muttered, only not saying something sarcastic because she was holding Ant. Well it wasn't like she had anything to do with his mindwipe, she hadn't told him to do it, he'd done it on his own. And now that was over. She should probably call Stephen and tell him to just.. undo it or whatever it was that he did.

Ant seemed to respond pretty well to the other Tony, considering he sounded, looked and probably even smelled the way his daddy did. "Yep, that's him.." and the baby kind of coo'd at him, smiling happily now that he was awake and out of the plane. "I'm sure he or she will be.. are you going to be surprised, or are you going to want to know?" considering none of their future children showed up, though really she thought it was only a matter of time.

Taking the mindwipe off was probably a bad thing because since it was still in place, Tony's feelings for Pepper were still dampened down a bit considering he didn't remember her dying at all.

"We're keeping it a surprise, but I'm secretly hoping for a girl with hair as red as her mother's," he replied with a broad smile, letting Ant tug on his finger. He looked almost like Tony in his baby pictures aside from his eye color which was clearly his mother's. "Well, let's get out of here. I don't like to leave Pepper alone too long. Never know what'll happen these days with her pregnancy." Then he opened the door for Remy to get in before sliding in and driving them all back to the house.

Remy smiled, "Aww.. yeah that'd be adorable.." she nodded and climbed into the car with Ant, putting him on her lap while they drove to the other Stark mansion. Maybe she should have brought a car seat. Ah well. "Well, she's past the first trimester, so the risk has gone down a lot, but I understand. I promise not to ruin the surprise if she wants me to do an ultrasound. I can probably bring one next time, a portable one from the hospital.."

If he'd actually known they'd be bringing the baby with them, he would have had one already in the car, but he hadn't thought that Remy would be back with Tony. Rather, he thought Tony wouldn't let her come back. "We'll probably get impatient eventually, and I like knowing what kind of room I should be designing for the baby." Or babies. Never knew with them.

Tony didn't race the car like he normally would have since the baby was in there, so it took a little longer to get to the house than usual, but when they got there, the other Tony stepped out of the car and walked ahead, "She's upstairs expecting you." Then he turned to Remy, "Guess it's just you and me while they're...getting reacquainted. Couldn't better company than me anyway," he said, flashing a grin.

"Yeah that's always the fun part, decorating. Well if you like baby stuff.." she shrugged some. When they got back to the mansion, she got out of the car and then handed the baby over to her husband, and his diaper bag. She didn't say anything because well, what was there to say? After that though, she turned back to the other Tony.

"Oh I don't know about that, baby talk is quite popular these days.." she smirked, sticking her hands in her back pockets as they headed inside. "Though I guess you've got to keep me entertained. Thankfully I'm easily so.."

"I think I'll leave Pepper to do the decorating. I'll just design the layout and install all of the hardware to monitor the baby." He let them into the house, which Jarvis greeted them all and welcomed them. "Jarvis, tell Pepper that the other me will be upstairs shortly."

Right away, sir.

It was so weird for Tony to hear Jarvis in another house like this, but he supposed Jarvis was just a staple to him no matter where he was. He took the baby and smiled at Ant, who squealed as he bounced him a little before he carried him upstairs to see Pepper.

"If there's one thing I can do, it's entertain a woman." Yeah, he was just as smug as the other Tony, if not more so.

"Good idea..it looks you're already a good decorator, though I suppose these kind of houses just show up when we do, but still.." she shrugged some. "I can't decorate worth .. shit. My old place before it got blown up was a complete wreck..but then I was barely in it anyway, working all the time.."

She watched as Tony headed upstairs to find Pepper and Remy turned her attention back to her other husband so to speak and smirked. "I'm not sure entertaining is the same as getting them into bed, but I'm sure you can keep me occupied..I'm in your capable hands.."

"Blown up?" his eyebrows raised. "Wait, why am I even surprised to hear that? This place is about as screwed up as it can get sometimes. Does he even let you decorate anything in the house? We're very particular about how we want things to be. Well, the workshop is usually the only place offlimits. Couldn't care less about the rest of the house most of the time. That was Pepper's job and whatever maid I hired that week."

Other than sit and talk to Remy, he wasn't really sure what they should be doing. Technically, she was sort of his wife, which was weird in itself. He loved Pepper, and his fiancee was upstairs saying God knows what to the other one. "Very capable hands. I wonder since I have a wife and a fiancee, does that make me a polygamist?"

"Well I work at Kent Memorial and that place is like.. the headquarters of getting blown up.. it's been destroyed twice now.. or maybe three, I can't really keep track. It was during.. Godzilla? No wait, not that.. um.. oh wait it was the apocalypse.. back in.. February? Nearly all of New York was fucked up.. uh no, which is fine cause I'm too busy to care about decorations.. I'm not very girly.."

She grinned slightly, "Probably? I mean technically you're the same person..so.. same DNA.. same kind of marriage..thing, but I'm pretty sure that's all legal here. Sounds like something God would do, since she ... well she likes ... everyone. And she was married to Satan."

"So I see," he mused, his lips quirking in just that way when he was amused. "God...Satan...don't really buy into that kind of thing. Religion has never been my thing and neither has the belief in a higher power." And nothing would probably change that opinion. Given the death of a baby, he definitely wouldn't believe in a god that'd allow that kind of thing.

"Does that mean we can share you?"

"Well I didn't really, until God cured me, so I guess I've got to be at least a bit grateful. Just cause they're there, doesn't mean you have to worship them.." it wasn't like she'd have ever gotten better if she hadn't come here. "Only girly doctor I know is Cameron.. well and maybe to a lesser extent Dr. Cuddy.. that's quite enough.. I guess thats probably why I don't hang out with them.."

Her eyebrows raised but she was grinning a bit, "If Pepper doesn't kill me, I don't see why not. I've gotten into the habit of sharing lately.. it's fun.."

"I saw that fiasco back when it happened. It's a hard thing to watch the one you love suffer like that. I've seen a lot more suffering than him, but that's where our armor comes in. Protects us both from emotions. It's why we hide behind it most of the time." Not that people didn't really get that about them.

"Oh really now? You've been sharing him with someone else? I'm very surprised. We're a possessive kind of guy. Must have taken a lot of convincing."

She nodded a little, "Yeah I know.. all the.. macho smug part. You're just lucky you can back it all up. If you couldn't, it wouldn't work so well.." she stretched out her legs in front of her and rested her hands on her stomach. "I didn't want him to see me like that in the first place.. he wouldn't have if well all that stuff hadn't happened.."

The side of her mouth quirked into a grin, "Yeah.. well baby steps, since the guy looked just like you both but still.. I'm surprised too, I didn't think I'd be okay with it, but it was fun. It did.. though I guess we didn't come right out and talk about it.. it just happened.."

"Bad and good thing. He saw what he was really getting himself into and proved that he really does love you despite his predilection for a certain redhead." Tony sat on the couch and stretched his legs, his hand going to the arc reactor in his chest and tapping on it while he was thinking. "We don't talk. We're more of an action based sort of organism. Less talk, more action, that and we don't mind making our women we love happy." He was sure there was more to it than that, but he didn't presume to say anything.

A cheeky grin spread over his lips, "Bet it was fun. Two men who looked exactly like us. Know what would be even better? Two of the exact same men. I bet you'd like to be sandwiched between us." Remy just looked like the sort who was the naughty type to him. "I'm willing to bet we do everything the same, even down to the kissing and the sex."

I just thought she kicked him to the curb because of me and so he just gave up and settled.." it was hard to tell if that's what she really thought or if she was just being funny. It was odd seeing him with the arc reactor since she was so used to him not having it. "I'm not much of a talker either.. but yeah.. you're really bad at telling anyone anything.." which was the other half of their problem, though it was getting better.

Remy laughed a little, "I'm sure that would be better.. as fun as it was watching him with Tony, it's another thing to have two of you." And it wasn't like she didn't know that he was the kinky sort of guy who would be willing. "Oh yeah? That kind of sounds like an experiment waiting to happen... or a challenge.."

"She was pissed off that he chose you over her. Pepper was here without anyone since he was already preoccupied with a family. Well, less pissed off and more hurt, I'd say. But I'm here, and that's all taken care of," his fingers only pausing once while he tapped on his arc reactor. "Yeah, tell me about it. Almost lost Pepper over that whole 'let's not talk about how we feel and bottle it up' routine."

Then his brow quirked. "Watching him with Tony? Should I ask what that means?" Then he sat up and leaned forward, "Challenge...experiment...either one. Care to find out?"

She nodded her head a little, "Yeah.. I can imagine. If I had known I would have stayed away from him. I don't blame her at all, I would've been seriously pissed off too.. so I'm glad you're here.. it sucks.. being that hurt.." and she knew. "Think we all need to learn a little about communication.."

Looking a little sly, and smiling at him, she leaned against the back of the couch, propping her elbow on the back and then holding up her head with it, "It sounds just like what you think it means.." when he leaned forward, she leaned forward a bit. "Oh I do.. do you think they'd kill us?"
