It had been a long two weeks, but as promised, Daphne behaved herself very, very well on behalf of her husband. Not once did she drink with her brother with the exception of the night when they were all moved into his new house. Bloody muggle part of Paris, but it was a damn nice place, one had to admit. But she was also glad to be back home to see Harry and her friends. Truthfully, she didn't think she could ever miss anyone as much as she missed him. And while she thought she had loved before, it was hardly comparable to what she felt towards Harry. While she still loved Adrian in that best-friend like way, Harry was her soul mate ... or something. Fourteen days without him drove her to tears at one point or another. She just missed the hell out of him and was glad to be able to see him again.
But before she went home, she had an appointment with her healer back at her parents' place. While she was in France, her suspicions seemed to have come true about her and Harry not being carefuly and while she had taken two pregnancy tests that came up positive, she still wasn't convinced. Her mother wasn't that thrilled when she found out why Daphne arrived back at their home, but Daphne wanted a baby and she just wanted her parents to be there when she got the good news. While she would have liked Harry to be there as well, she knew it would be even better if she surprised him by herself. Although ... he would probably have a heart attack once he found out.
However, the good news would have to wait. While the make-shift pregnancy tests came up positive, when the healer had ran tests on her, they were negative. The good news was that she was healthy and in good condition for pregnancy, but just knowing that she would have to wait even longer really brought her down. A little faulty test had that much effect on her, but she didn't let her disappointment show as she hugged and kissed her family good bye, apparating to the door step of her and Harry's home. Once there, she sighed contently and collected herself before opening the front door and shutting it behind her as she stepped in.
Sliding out of her shoes, she shrank a few inches and looked around at the familiarity that was her home. She had missed it while she was gone. She had missed Harry even more. She looked at the couch and saw that he wasn't there, so she went looking around the house for him. He was no where to be found, though she knew of one place he may have been hiding. Rather than apparating, though, Daphne walked back outside and climbed up the trellis on the side of the house, peaking over the gutters to see him up there. A small grin appeared on her face as she heaved herself up onto the roof and walked over to him. She crossed her arms in a faux-stern way and looked at him.
"I told you not to wait up."
