She felt so bad for opening her mouth now. He was so good to her and only wanted the best for her and wanted to make her happy and all she did was ask and beg for more. Daphne was just about as selfish as she could possibly be and there was no denying that. Some day she'd learn, but until then, Harry would have to put up with every imperfection she had.
"It'll happen someday," she said, reassuring herself as she gave him a half smile, kissing him gently. Hearing that the only thing he could do was try not to disappoint her made Daphne frown terribly. How could he ever do such a thing? Harry would never be able to disappoint her. Daphne could put herself in disappointing situations, but he couldn't disappoint her.
"Don't talk like that," she said with a frown. "You could never disappoint me. Not even if you left me. I'd never be disappointed. Maybe sad that I didn't make you happy enough, but not disappointed," she said, trying to finally close that gap between them, though finding that it just stayed where it was.
