"You give me far more credit then I deserve, love." he responded, a soft smile tugging at the corner of his lips. His arms still remained around her and tightened slightly as she spoke, even though he knew his hands were probably chilled, they slipped beneath the bottom of her shirt to rest against her warm skin, keeping her close to him.
"If I'm certain of one thing, it's that I'm not going anywhere," he responded, completely confident in the statement. That was the only stable ground he had, but it was one he knew wouldn't crumble beneath him. "You're stuck with for life, remember."
That was the honestly the last thing he said for several moments, instead capturing her lips before she could respond to him and putting what he hoped was all the reassurance and love he could into it. He didn't want her to worry or be upset just because he couldn't get a grasp of his own inner workings. He loved her and was relieved to have her back. That was all he wanted her to feel at the moment.
