So. That was... interesting. I wasn't aware we got tornadoes in California. Or... would be. Getting.
I suck at metaphors. Anyone want to take a stab at what my being swept up from San Fransisco to Hollywood via tornado could mean? Or how I might be able to get back. I'm an hour late for a hearing. Please don't tell me I blacked out. |

I know I'm hardly the first woman to feel this way, and that it's not a unique situation - but Soren moved. I can feel him, when he shifts, when he rolls over. It was enough to make me cry.
I'm also at the point where I'm gaining weight and it shows to everyone. I don't know why, but this seems to be an invitation for strangers to touch my stomach (and in a few small exceptions, my behind). I've never been so thankful for being a mage.
Speaking of - Soren? You kick hard when I cast. I think that means you like it. Darling, you were born for this. |

Finally out of the hospital..
Tsung tells me I've been granted an early paid maternity leave starting now..calling my commanding officer confirmed this.
Firstly, female personnel are only allowed six weeks of maternity leave-
Secondly, when I called, the man actually sounded scared-and he's been through Vietnam
I don't know whether I should be flattered or concerned.

So the boys are of being boys, and I said I'd be fine by myself for however long, and I'm still fine, except that I'm exceedingly bored now.
And the Pit's full up, don't need me to pick up any hours, so going to work is out.
And I'm all keyed up, kind of weirdly on-edge and tense, even though I really shouldn't be. Anybody want to spar or something? |

So it seems that whoever I have replaced here is hired muscle. It's nothing I don't know how to do, it seems, so I don't see any reason not to continue, I can still follow the principles of the Brotherhood even here while living through ancient history, perhaps plant the seeds for what it will become, which is strange to think of by itself.
This world seems to be that way though, strange. I'm learning, the monks always said I was good at learning, that I absorb whatever's being taught like a dry sponge absorbs water. I like to think it's the reason my mother left me on their steps. It's certainly the way that I learn to help those around me.
Miss Yamamura, thank you for your help yesterday, I've already begun to learn my way around the city, don't think I really could have managed without your assistance. |
