WHO: Nate, Logan and Louisa (NPC).
WHERE: Open field outside the hotel.
WHEN:April 15th, 2015 - Afternoon.
WHAT: Logan makes good on crossbow lessons for Lou, and Nate tags along.
While he couldn't say he was entirely in support of his daughter learning how to use a crossbow, he could admit that Logan had made a valid point in Louisa learning how to defend herself against zombies - especially if she continued to insist on walking to the greenhouse and the security building. Still, as her father it scared the hell out of him to watch his baby girl growing up in front of his eyes. Could he continue to call her his baby girl, really? In the last year she has grown up in ways he thought no eleven year old should have to. Now it seemed she also had an ally in Logan, someone encouraging her to continue the scary act of growing up too quickly. "Come on dad, we're going to be late!" Louisa broke into his train of thought. "Logan said she'd be there at two." The young blonde was already running up ahead of him, crossbow clutched in her hands. Nate sighed and quickened his pace. "I'm sure Logan will wait for you," he answered. "And for the love of God be careful running with that thing." When did he start to sound like such an old man?Nate just chuckled and realized it was probably around the same time that Lou learned how to walk. They reached the clearing shortly and Louisa made a beeline for Logan, talking a mile a minute about how excited she was and how they saw three zombies on their way out here, but Nate wouldn't let her kill them. Meanwhile Nate hung back for a moment, internally wondering how he was suppose to behave towards Logan. They had a thing, what that thing was he didn't know - but now with his daughter in their company he wasn't entirely sure how to behave, or how Logan would want him to behave. Shoving his hands into his pockets and letting out a rush of air from his longs, Nate took the last few steps towards his daughter and Logan, offering a half smirk as he greeted her. "You sure you're ready for her energy?" He asked as he made a sweeping motion towards a still very excited Louisa. |
