Call for Applications
Hey, everyone! I've got great news! The Potts Tower Youth Center is now hiring!
We're looking to fill the following positions:
Business Manager (full time)
Someone to oversee the budget, financial planning, fundraising, and accounting. This person will also be stuck with me constantly asking him/her questions, because I'm really new to the business side of things and want to learn more.
Fundraising Lead (full time)
This position reports directly to the Business Manager and is responsible for planning and executing fund-raising and donation-collecting projects and events to take some of the funding pressure off Mr. Stark.
Hospitality Lead (full time)
Reports to Program Director. This person is responsible for keeping the pantry stocked, seeing to maintenance of the space and equipment, and planning Welcome events when new people come in.
Education Lead (full time)
Reports to the Program Director. Responsible for planning and executing enrichment programs to help visitors from other worlds learn about this world and each other’s in fun and interesting ways. Will also plan other educational programs and events for subjects that may not be covered in standard schooling
Recreation Lead (full time)
Reports to the Program Director. Responsible for planning and executing programs and events for fun and recreation (such as the monthly Mario Kart tournament, the Art Club, etc.)
Staff (part time)
Report to the Program director. We're looking for two or three more people to join Annabeth Chase in working about 20 hours a week. Staff have the responsibility of talking with visitors, playing games with them, helping with homework, being Good Examples and helping as they can with anything else our visitors need, and acting as support for the program leads.
The center welcomes adult volunteers who have undergone a brief background investigation, whether as supervision, teachers, or to run short-term programs. We're happy to have young people volunteer, too. If you have skills, knowledge, ideas, or anything else you'd like to share with the young people here, let us know.
Salaries for paid positions are negotiable based on education and experience. New York State employment laws apply.
