Hey, I'm Peter. I'm from Queens. You got a spare couch?

[...]

This is aliens, right? Like when the Chitauri invaded New York?

[...]

So my name's Peter Parker. I'm a good student. I won't be any trouble. I like sandwiches.

[...]

Man, I just flew in from New York and boy are

[...]

You know that one old TV show where they go through the portals and go to all those crazy alternate universes?

My name is Peter Parker. I'm fifteen years old. I'm pretty quiet and won't cause any problems. Seriously you won't even notice I'm there. I need a guardian before I can leave so if you've got a spare couch or anything I'd really appreciate it.

Reilly, but please just call me Ben. And if you get a better offer, no hard feelings, ok? I know this is a lot to take in.

[Peter]
First visit to a parallel universe?

Okay, thanks.

[Mr. Ben Reilly]
Uh, that obvious? Other people have more experience with this kind of thing?

No problem.

[Peter]
I mean, generally speaking, this visit should be the majority of people's first visits, but some people have been here a long time and others are from worlds where the concept of the multiverse and traveling around it is more common. I was on a universe hopping adventure right before I got pulled here so it wasn't even a bump in the road for me.

Ok, so, uh, the warning on the multiverse tin? That'd be helpful, right? Especially with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum down there. Anyways, first off, people can come and go from this world we're in now. Sometimes they keep the memories, sometimes the memories of when they're here don't stick. A version of you has been here before, so some people may know you that you don't know. It can be a headache, but you'll get used to it. Just, y'know, so you don't freak out at people just knowing you.

And more with the multiverse, infinite numbers of possibilities and all, right? Well, your universe is a bit popular for having multiple versions, so some people might know a different version of you either from their world or one that's visited here before. There's actually another Peter Parker here. Bit older. So also, don't freak out?

That's a lot of information. That was too much information wasn't it...

Just how much do people know about me here?

You wouldn't happen to be wondering about that super secret after school hobby that generally no one at all knows about not even Aunt May. Is that what you're wondering about?

You know my Aunt May?

Simple answer: yeah, most people know about your night life. Brain break, curiosity killed the cat answer: google image search Peter Parker.

I haven't gotten the chance to meet your Aunt May, but I know a Aunt May.

Uh. I heard you shouldn't google yourself anyway. Plus anyone can put anything on the internet. [...] How bad is it?

Oh, cuz of the multiverse. Is the other Aunt May you met nice at least?

It's probably better that way. It just confirms, well, you know the multiverse theory and then there's the whole thing that there are people here from stuff that's books and TV in our world, right? Like there's Harry Potter characters running around and all. Well, it goes both ways, and in their worlds, they have comic books, tv shows, and movies that are about us. So, the spider's out of the bag there.

The best, but then I don't know if an Aunt May can't be the best in whatever universe she's in. Yours will be doing fine, by the way. I don't know if they explained when you came in, but everything back in your world is going as it should somehow. She won't be worrying herself about this.

Okay. I guess at least I don't have to worry about that.

Yeah, that's good. Black Widow told me. So [...] that's good.

Mr. Stark has a bed I can use, but thanks for the offer. If it doesn't work out with him or whatever should I just message you? I don't think he really

I mean, you can still worry if you really want to, but it isn't required here.

Hey, no problem, really. My sofa is nice, but it can't beat a bed in an actual room. But the offer stays open, alright? Even if you just need someplace quieter for a night. Or don't feel like fighting Stark over what station the TV is on even. Open window policy here.

There's also a dog to play with and Pokemon no wait for later on that if you need puppy therapy. Just throwing that out there.

Oh boy Not you specifically. Multiverse, right? As far as I know, I haven't popped up in your universe and hopefully I'll never, but in mine, yeah, Pete and I bumped into each other near the end of college. It took us a few years, but in the end we got to be as good as brothers.

Haha, okay.

That sounds pretty cool. So are we supposed to be close to the same age, too? It feels like everyone here is ahead of me.

Same exact age in my universe. Most of our brand of universes have been going longer than yours has. There are a few that are still just starting out though where you, well, Pete is still in his teens. The big main other universe that's here (that'd be 616 and Sam as Cap's world) has been going awhile. The Peter there's been doing the web thing for... man, I think it's coming on 15 years there... Ages get wibble wobbly, but I think that's around what he's at.

Do the timelines get unstable? Gravitational pull from different multiverses? Something else?

Bit of a time differential, although I'm sure there's a bit of instability in some of the universes between everyone jumping back and forth between universes plus way too many people having access to time travel. And that's not even factoring in reality manipulation that goes on.

Decades do get wonky though with the timelines though. Like I say that Peter got started around 15 years ago, but fashion, media, and slang wise? Total 60s going on. Which when someone mentioned comic books, man, it made some things make a whole lot more sense. As I swear there was a year that we had two Christmases within the span of nine months, but also everyone and their time traveling.

From what I can tell, the big 616 world and a few of the offshoots (mine included) are comic books in other worlds. Your world are a bunch of movies in other worlds.

You get used to it eventually. Some of the movies of other world Peter's are out there, but... It's probably best to wait on watching those. There's some rough scenes.

However, to break your brain in a good way, have this ear worm.

Wait... your blood isn't radioactive? Huh.

There's one I think, but strange things with this place is that we seem to have gotten cut off with certain media releases. Like there should've been comic books from the company that does the 616 verse, but there's been nothing for over a year.
