Hey, I'm Peter. I'm from Queens. You got a spare couch?

[...]

This is aliens, right? Like when the Chitauri invaded New York?

[...]

So my name's Peter Parker. I'm a good student. I won't be any trouble. I like sandwiches.

[...]

Man, I just flew in from New York and boy are

[...]

You know that one old TV show where they go through the portals and go to all those crazy alternate universes?

My name is Peter Parker. I'm fifteen years old. I'm pretty quiet and won't cause any problems. Seriously you won't even notice I'm there. I need a guardian before I can leave so if you've got a spare couch or anything I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

So [...] do we know each other in the future?

There's also a dog to play with and Pokemon no wait for later on that if you need puppy therapy. Just throwing that out there.

Oh boy Not you specifically. Multiverse, right? As far as I know, I haven't popped up in your universe and hopefully I'll never, but in mine, yeah, Pete and I bumped into each other near the end of college. It took us a few years, but in the end we got to be as good as brothers.

Haha, okay.

That sounds pretty cool. So are we supposed to be close to the same age, too? It feels like everyone here is ahead of me.

Same exact age in my universe. Most of our brand of universes have been going longer than yours has. There are a few that are still just starting out though where you, well, Pete is still in his teens. The big main other universe that's here (that'd be 616 and Sam as Cap's world) has been going awhile. The Peter there's been doing the web thing for... man, I think it's coming on 15 years there... Ages get wibble wobbly, but I think that's around what he's at.

Do the timelines get unstable? Gravitational pull from different multiverses? Something else?

Bit of a time differential, although I'm sure there's a bit of instability in some of the universes between everyone jumping back and forth between universes plus way too many people having access to time travel. And that's not even factoring in reality manipulation that goes on.

Decades do get wonky though with the timelines though. Like I say that Peter got started around 15 years ago, but fashion, media, and slang wise? Total 60s going on. Which when someone mentioned comic books, man, it made some things make a whole lot more sense. As I swear there was a year that we had two Christmases within the span of nine months, but also everyone and their time traveling.

From what I can tell, the big 616 world and a few of the offshoots (mine included) are comic books in other worlds. Your world are a bunch of movies in other worlds.

In another universe, sure yeah, you're kinda like a movie star. It's weird.

You get used to it eventually. Some of the movies of other world Peter's are out there, but... It's probably best to wait on watching those. There's some rough scenes.

However, to break your brain in a good way, have this ear worm.

...Okay, that's pretty cool. But I'm pretty sure I would be dead if my blood was radioactive??

So have you seen my movie? Movies? How many are there?

Wait... your blood isn't radioactive? Huh.

There's one I think, but strange things with this place is that we seem to have gotten cut off with certain media releases. Like there should've been comic books from the company that does the 616 verse, but there's been nothing for over a year.

It's no problem, really, Peter. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. I'm used to it and I like to talk.

So are you a spider, too? Everyone talks about the other spiders and apparently my dead girlfriend from an alternate universe is also a spider sometimes she's really intense please help and Mr. War Machine says I "should ask the spider kids" if I have any questions.

Oh for the love of Yeah, I'm a spider, too. There's a few people here who have spider powers for one reason or another and not all of them are named Peter.

Yeah. I’m starting to get that.

So... did everyone get their powers the same way?

It's a great big multiverse.

From what I've seen, the Peters generally get them the same way. Generally. Usually through a spider-bite although how radioactive the spider was apparently can differ. Sometimes the branching off point in the parallel world is there with the spider ending up biting someone else. There's others though who got their powers through some other types of experimentation or through mystical forces.

Yeah, yeah, it's ok to ask. I mean for me at least. I think most of the other spiders are pretty open book too. The ones that are here now at least.

I'd fall into the other types of experimentation power getting where I've always had my powers and also sort of got bit because my life is complicated.

Oh, no no no, different universe. Off shoot, but not my world although considering some origin stories, I'm sure there are- not the point Ben. Although I guess mine's more an off shoot of that world, but tomayto tomahto.

I'm going to pretend that made some kind of sense. But, okay. I guess we can discuss Hawking's multiverse theory some other time what off shoot worlds mean exactly?
