Getting to know the peoples

Hello all, i bring forth the Erik! up for adventure, laughter and dark times... as long as he gets paid. he's a man of action who works primarily for money though his sense of right and wrong, and on occasion his thin paltry code of honor, can step in to make him do the right thing instead of getting paid. He will gladly work with anyone who isn't a blood mage, and even does work gratis on rare occasion.

On the way less awesome front, im Sean, and even though i know a few of the people here (niki/sister, jenni/GF, Danielle, Kelsey, Jess, Alice and Justin) im excited to meet the rest of you! Im nerd lvl over 9,000. been roleplaying in every format (tabletop, game, LARP, etc) save for this written style for that vast majority of my life and im excited to start up another section to add to the wall O' Awesome i call my nerd career!

Uhm.. lets say im pretty horrid at intro's and go with that. im down to answer any questions and chat about whatever and look forward to meeting/playing with yall :D

Ps: Taco/nacho are two words that i overuse.. you have been warned...

PPS: if this intro sucks, blame the army.

Greetings beloved Earthlings. It's Jess (Falina) and I've really, really missed you. Even you, people I don't know yet.

The mods were wonderful enough to accept me back into the game, after a long time away. I'm eager to make up for the lost time and the lost lines, and get back into the thick of it with you guys.

I'm bringing back the one character for now, Rhone, as he seems most relevant to the current plot-happenings. I'm currently dusting off his application/bio, as it's hella long and hella old. Follow the cut for the breakdown. Feel free to ask about anything that you don't see.

New Character, Old Player :P

Hey guys, it's Niki here with my fourth character. Yes, I actually earned the points for a new one and I have here a Rogue Elf Bard from Rivain. Please feel free to check out my bio for any details. A quick summary for anyone interested. She's former Qun, though she ran away when she was 15 and spent the rest of her formative years with the thieves guild in Dairsmiud. There she learned how to fight and how to perform as a bard. She is a skilled singer and dancer and uses a small hand-held drum. She left Rivain about 3 or so years ago to accompany her mentor to Orlais, where she has been entertaining nobles since. So if anyone has some time in the past few years spent in Orlais, as I know only a few other characters hail from Rivain, I'm open to plenty of back scenes. So feel free to hit me up here or on her contact post if you'd like a thread :) Otherwise she'll be joining the group during the next plot quest. I just figured I'd put her out here for any interested parties.

Greetings, o' peoples. I come bearing Lorius, aka "Kore's little brother." He's roaming about in Ferelden on a fetch-quest from his owner, and not being too obviously magey. It helps that he's not a very good mage, so he tends to only fall back on the magic when he's in a situation only magic can deal with. He's very polite, but very boring on the outside. Inside he's a seething mess of fear and paranoia and operates on the assumption that everyone is trying to kill him. So that's a thing.

As for me, I'm Regina, I live in Florida (EST), and I work a regular eight-to-five. I have a cat. I am generally pretty boring and come with the standard gamer girl equipment: custom build desktop, MMOs, alt-itis, and an inordinate fondness for cheese and icecream. And zombies.

I am also a big fan of explosions and things being set on fire. ^_^

I don't really use AIM, but am easy enough to get ahold of via google-chat and email, thanks to this tasty-wonderful thing called my Fancy Mobile Phone. Woo.

Another New Character!

So... you guys already know me, and from the mind who brought you Kallian Endris and Eligia Milagros, I bring you... Ingrid!

And, because I clearly subscribe to the Jean-Paul Sartre School of Character Development, she's a templar from the Anderfels, recently arrived in Ferelden. Her full information can be found here. But... She's been widowed for just shy of 2 years. Her husband was a Grey Warden who served at Weisshaupt for a little over ten years (so, fellow Anders, even if you don't know HER very well from before, it's entirely possible you might have known her husband).

Obviously, she's very pious and tends to agree with the Chantry on most any given issue, but she's not one for proselytizing (that's the clergy's job), and she actually does try to not judge others right away (that's the Maker's job). She's a very practical woman, and fairly easy to get along with--though she will Frown Mightily at you if you speak ill of the Chantry or the Andrastian faith.

And just for you, Garrett, she smells of lyrium, earth, nervous energy and tallow soap, and probably a little bit of darkspawn taint since she wears her late husband's Joining pendant around her neck.

So... Let's give her a nice, big, warm Ferelden welcome! Let the CR begin! ^_^

Greetings!

I'm horrible at this introductions as I tend to ramble. There's a tl;dr at the end if you'd like to just skip to that.

Hi! I'm Brandon, and entirely new to this game! I've been RPing for about 16 years now in a wide variety of fictional settings, that most notably and recently include a few stints into Harry Potter and prior to that a Hyrule based RP. I've made it around the sun about 28 times, am married, have a beautiful (if ridiculous) 2yo daughter, and the wife is pregnant with twins. I work full time, but in an office, and AIM/Y!M/Gchat is always running on my phone and I ABSOLUTELY want to talk to you about anything and everything. I'm a one journal character kind of guy, so I'll be focusing all of my attention on Ser Urban, who you really came here to see.

Ser Urban! He is a Knight-Lieutenant of the Templars. As a Templar, he is devote to the Chantry, following the will of his superiors just about blindly. This isn't to say that he's incredibly serious, no in most situations he's quite amiable and gives one the impression he believes himself to be truly blessed just to be wherever he is. This amiablity is of course, not so apparent around Mages that are not in the Circle (including those Warden Mages) or Darkspawn. He's got a bit of a sordid past, in the Lyrium smuggling trade, but all of that is absolutely behind him, and will probably never ever come back to bite him -cough-. He has some open chunks in his recent history that I would absolutely love to fill with any minor or passing interactions with the rest of your characters!

tl;dr - I lied, it's just two short paragraphs :3

Introduction

Hello everybody! My name's Paul and I've been playing online RPGs for over a year now. I was introduced to this game by Kim and while my Dragon Age-fu is not as good as I'd like, I hope to enjoy myself here.

I'm bringing Barak Helmi into the game, a former dwarven noble who acts as a hired bodyguard and mercenary. He's currently heading for Amaranthine to find work.

ooc~

Hey, everyone!

Just wanted to put a note out there, the summertime is pretty busy at my job (I work in Experiential Marketing, aka events and stuff like that!), so I've been working about a month straight so far. Usually when I get home I try and relax a bit, and usually I'm on my laptop, but it is totally broken! :( So I've really only got my desktop left, which is a little less relax-y than the laptop. That means that I've just become super lazy, which I hate being! I've totally been leaving stuff to the last minute though, and I definitely don't want to continue doing that!

So! I'm being proactive now :) I'm looking to fill a few threads with the following characters to bring Falon into the game:

Revered Mother Helen
Alistair
Mages at the Keep -- just in general, or an all-encompassing announcement of the new Templar additions!

And anyone else who would like to connect with the new Templar! :) Please, get in contact with me, I'm definitely interested. My AIM is constantly on on my cell phone (salut etoile), and I get e-mails on there too! Let's play! :D

New character

Hello! It's Sage again, bringing in a second character, an Orlesian blood mage apostate by the name of Sabine Archambault. She'll be keeping her blood magic under wraps for now, but soon enough her uncle will be presenting her to the Wardens in charge so she can offer her services.

I'm looking forward to throwing her into the mix. I've been having a lot of fun playing Joran here so far!

Fresh Meat

Hi! My name is Sage, and I'm completely new to the game as well as to IJ. I found out about you guys through a role play ad while web surfing and liked what I saw, so here I am.

I've played all of Origins, Awakening, and 2, plus all expansions except Mark of the Assassin. I haven't yet read any of the novels, but they're on my list. I don't mind spoilers if they come up in play.

The best way to contact me is through PM on this journal. I'm looking forward to jumping in and getting involved. This guy is a new arrival at the Keep as a Warden. He's got a few secrets and hidden agendas up his sleeves. I'm open to plotting and getting in on anything others might need a character for, so feel free to hit me up!

Character #2!

Kallian's mun here, and adding to the ranks, I wish to introduce you all to the lovely Eligia Milagros!

She's a gypsy fortune-teller originally hailing from Llomerryn. She's not ACTUALLY a seer (no matter what she might say), but she can tell a lot about a person just by observing them. Her detailed info is here.

She's very sociable, and open for plotting, both for past CR and future plots!

[info]orya

Hello, I am new here and my name is Dana. I wanted to toss up an intro sooner rather than later, but I am feeling a tad under the weather (perhaps going out was not the best idea). Anyway, I am 24 now birthday was yesterday, and I am Canadian. I am currently in my final year of an accounting degree. First time venturing into a Dragon Age theme game.

I am bringing to the game, a dwarf Grey Warden by the name of Orya Hargan, she is a Rogue. A quick summary of what she is like, is that she is stern, stubborn, and independent. She rationalizes most of her actions, and does not like it when people question her actions. On the other hand she will be opinionated and comment on your actions. She is find with agreeing to disagree. She is defensive and this usually leads to arguments against others who don't wish to back down, as Orya does not back down because of pride and her stubbornness. She is guarded and doesn't let people in easily. I could probably go on and on, but then it is not really a summary. She has been living on the surface since she was five, and was born in Orzammar in the servant caste. Her father is of the warrior caste. She lived in Denerim and left there when she was seventeen travelling and finding work when she could. At nineteen she returned to Denerim but did not stay long before joining two human Rogues, whom she stayed with for almost three years when the job they were on was botched. She ended up in prison where she was given the opportunity to become a Grey Warden and took it. At the end of 9:44 she became a Grey Warden, and was in Redcliffe in the Village. A more detailed account of her history and personality is here.

I am pretty easy going when it comes to plot, and the like, so I am open to anything. I am looking forward to having Orya join in.

Arooo.

Azplayer here! So, those of you from GW will remember this cheeky fellow, but for the rest of you, meet Garrett! A creature with the mind of man, and after the breaking of Zathrian's curse, the shape of one as well. Garrett is one of the pups of the werewolf pack from Dragon Age, Swiftrunner's only son and a shapeshifter-mage to boot. In his mind, he is still a wolf, and so his manners aren't exactly... polished. He's pretty much exactly what you might expect meeting a feral man, or maybe a tame wolf. It's somewhere along that line.

Garrett has some existing connections to the Brecillian Forest & River Dane area, visited Denerim once or twice, and wandered all over the Bannorn for years on end, so anyone wanting to encounter the prettiest apostate, as Conlanplayer calls him, drop me a line! (Him being a former werewolf is going to make any encounters with the Dalish absolutely hilarious.) He doesn't bite, I promise!

Well, unless you ask him to.

[info]tilleul

Hi everyone. I'm new here, and some of you might remember me from the old game. After working on my application forever [I cut previous stuff out and my revisions seemed longer than the app] I'm happy to be bringing an Orlesian into the game.

This is Noah Durand, a Spirit Healer from the Orlesian Circle of Magi. His parents were members of the same Circle; he was taken from them by the Chantry and raised to believe his perfectly normal folks couldn't cope and left him on their doorstep. He then spent his days in an orphanage until, well, you know - the obvious happened. After which he was dragged off to Montsimmard. Noah prefers isolation outside of his Circle; he’s prone to keeping secrets from outsiders, especially if they’re of a personal nature. However, he is capable of moving in the light of social interaction outside Orlais - mostly in relation with his work, which fortunately for me causes him to interact with a wide range of people.

He was momentarily packed off to Ferelden in 9:43 to take over from an Orlesian Enchanter who'd assisted after Uldred's uprising. Said geezer wanted to go home and retire. Noah was a private individual at Kinloch too, and he would stay there till he assisted at the battle in Redcliffe in 9:45. He returned to the Orlesian Circle to recover. Then he was sent to Vigil's Keep to serve as a healer for the Warden’s Tournament. Now that the tournament has ended, he remains as an observer until recalled by the Circle.

He's a firm believer in Andraste, and growing up in the Chantry and the Circle has instilled in him a very black and white sense of right and wrong regarding the treatment of Mages. He fully supports the Templars and the Circle set-up. However, he doesn't identify himself as a Loyalist, and doesn't claim membership of any Fraternity.

You might find his accent thick and hard to understand, and his grasp of Ferelden poor, but I look forward to threading with you! You can reach me on AIM as xKing of Liesx or catch me in the IRC from time to time.

[info]undvore

Hello, everyone! Another new player here. My name is Lacey, and I'm bringing in a character by the name of Kael Undvore.

Kael's a human born of an elvish mother, and he grew up in Kirkwall in the Blooming Rose brothel. He's a warrior, a bastion, and a defender who uses a sword & shield. He can be a bit awkward when it comes to conversation, but he's a very talented fighter who sells his sword by working as a mercenary and a travel guide for traders and merchants and such. He knows a lot more about elvish culture than most humans, and he worships the elven pantheon. Oh, and he doesn't like the Chantry or Templars - at all.

You can read the long story about Kael on his profile. He's got a bit of a plot set up with Lin, but otherwise he's wide open for friendships and enmities and complications. I'm really excited to be here writing with you all. It's going to be fun! You can reach me on AIM at mallowmuse or just email me at mallowmuse@gmail.com.

A new day rises.

Greetings everyone!
I am a new player here, feel free to call me Lin or Lin-s after my critter if it makes it easier for you. :D
This here is Lin Durgen. You might often hear him called Son of Durgen for the long family line. He's a warrior, a strong beserker and a two-handed warmonger. Pretty much this Dalish elf at 5'8'' can unleash some very strong rage on the battle field.

If you have any questions, please hit me up on AIM at:
Lininthestone.

Also, I'm always open for story lines with Lin and will be eager to plot some!

[info]kallian

Hello! I'm also brand new to the game. You can call me Ardruna, and I am pleased to introduce you to Miss Kallian Endris. She's an elven spirit healer, and an apostate (though she prefers the term "free mage").

Her magic is a closely-guarded secret, and so she is a bit paranoid about anyone finding out about it. Quite frankly, the idea of being turned over to either a Circle or the Chantry terrifies her. If she seems shy, that's why, but she's really quite nice. She was born and raised in Denerim's alienage, but her mother was Orlesian and her father (whom she's never known) was Dalish. Further information about her can be found here.

You can find me on AIM as Mirisa Erato, or email me at ardruna@gmail.com. I look forward to playing with everyone!

[info]dar_prethan

Hello all! I'm another new one. =) My name is Ashfae, and this is Dar Prethan, a city elf shapeshifter from Highever who's been working with the Mage's Collective for most of her life. The longer version is over here.

Personality-wise Dar will jump between being quiet and reserved to being open and sweet (if naive in some respects) depending on how comfortable she's feeling. She's inclined to trust other mages, particularly apostates, except for blood mages; those she's very wary of, as the Mage's Collective actively worked against them, though she hasn't examined her distrust closely. She's not particularly prejudiced towards humans as her mentor/foster-father/closest friend is one, but she tends to expect them to be prejudiced about her. She's only met a few surface dwarves and interactions with them were strictly business, so she knows little about them.

I don't have an AIM (do I need one?) and my email is ashfae at hutchingsmusic dot co dot uk. =)

[info]burkhard

Hello. I'm NEW. My name's Deli and I've just joined with Tagrin Burkhard, a dwarf warrior from Orzammar's Dust Town. A synopsis would be: He was part of the carta that got massacred by the Warden way back then, and left to get revenge but was too late. The Warden sacrificed himself before Tagrin got to Denerim and so he never did forgive himself for failing the carta and himself. He's too shamed to contact the current carta, and worked as a merchant's guard until recently at the tournament. He was blamed for some missing equipment, and got fired.

Personalitywise, he's kind of a sullen and silent dwarf who thinks that he doesn't deserve to believe in the stone anymore since he left it, has a soft spot for mistreated elves in alienages unlike his own Dust Town, and has a huge appetite for alcohol and topside food. He isn't very smart, hygenic or patient. He prefers to follow, and be on the sidelines. More about him here.

My AIM is delishope and my email is delishope@gmai.com. Nice to meet you!

[info]d_gallagher

Greetings! I bit the bullet

Hi guys, so it's Niki (Lillie, Imenry) with my third character here. I noticed we needed some more dudes so I'm gladly filling that role with Declan here. He is a guard from Amaranthine and actually startlingly normal! *gasp*

He was born in Amaranthine and aside from there, Vigil's Keep, the surrounding areas and Denerim he hasn't traveled. But if you're in one of those areas I'm open for backscenage! He's 30 years old and has been a guard since he was 18. His sister and her family run a farm outside the city. He is skilled with a sword and shield, but he is also trained as a blacksmith, as his father was one.

Personality wise he's a nice guy, though he is very protective and loyal to friends and family. He doesn't have many close friends, but once you're counted as one you've become important to him. He is really good with kids, and easy around them since he has three nieces and a nephew. As a child he did his share of thieving and mischievous things, but he's long since given that up. Not that he's without his vices, but he's pretty much a "good guy". He is proud to serve as a guard for the Wardens and finds it a great honor to protect the innocent.

I feel like I'm telling you nothing but I really suggest reading his bio if you have a chance and are interested. It's not overly long and the details of his life will give a little more insight :) Anyways looking forward to plotting with you guys!
