Hi! My name is Sage, and I'm completely new to the game as well as to IJ. I found out about you guys through a role play ad while web surfing and liked what I saw, so here I am.

I've played all of Origins, Awakening, and 2, plus all expansions except Mark of the Assassin. I haven't yet read any of the novels, but they're on my list. I don't mind spoilers if they come up in play.

The best way to contact me is through PM on this journal. I'm looking forward to jumping in and getting involved. This guy is a new arrival at the Keep as a Warden. He's got a few secrets and hidden agendas up his sleeves. I'm open to plotting and getting in on anything others might need a character for, so feel free to hit me up!

Due to some major real life upheaval (among other things, I'm pregnant, which is great but also kicking my ass) combined with the fact that I'm going on vacation to somewhere without internet for two weeks, I need to go on hiatus for a while. Mods, is that okay? You can feel free to do with Dar as you wish in the meantime; in the Green Peace post she's mostly out of commission atm, and she's trying to lie low in the other plot post. To non-mods, now you know why I've been even more behind than usual about responding to things!

Hey guys, it is time for another update from the mods as to plot status. As you know, two of the groups have wrapped up and two are still in the process of doing so. We also have our apostate reveal thread, with Alistair and the Revered Mother, in full swing, as well as a boat trip home thread for the members of G4 because they will not get back in time to participate in the apostate thread.

Hey guys!

With some of the quests for round one almost finished, or getting close to being finished, we want to post a general timeline for when each group will return to the Keep. This will give you some reference for when you can start doing traveling scenes or scenes at Amaranthine. This has nothing to do with OOC thread speed, but rather with distance traveled and nights spent away from the Keep while completing each quest.

Pick two characters. Someone will then describe a sex dream that character A had about character B, no matter how awkward or strange it may be.

Anyone willing to volunteer to write this would respond, as we are not forcing the owners of the characters to write it.

This site is a fun way to get into the mind of your character.

Why? I'm a lazy ass, and hate answering 100-question memes with three paragraphs per question. In regards to personality, this is relatively quick but still keeps the mind fresh. Put traits into a 'section', bold the significant ones, then made a final four-letter list. Plus it's fun to read everyone's answers.

Happy Valentines Day!
Everything seems to be cuddly and pink today, so it felt appropriate to leave a note here to everyone in this game.
We've been at things for almost a year now here at TDA, and I feel I can say now that it isn't just wine that gets better as it ages. While being a mod isn't always easy, playing and writing here with all of you is a joy each and every day. I've tried a lot of different games with a lot of different people, but nothing will ever grab hold of me like this one has.
You are all extremely talented writers, with lovely imaginations and the most perfectly flawed and interesting characters to play against. Most of the time I wish I lived in a more practically situated time-zone so I could always hang with you in chat, and the rest of the time I wish I didn't have to work or eat, but could write all day and night long.

I hope you've all had a lovely pink and cuddly Tuesday, and that we will write together for yet another long time to come.

So I'm just leaving a general post here because I think we need more threads! So, if you don't owe plot posts (if you do git yer booties on that ;) ) I am looking for threads! I would love to do some threads with any of my three so please hit me up, reply to this thread. You don't even have to have an idea, just a desire and we'll work something out.

In Ferelden, Declan is your best bet, but if you've had a character in Rivain that opens up to Lillie. Imenry has been in Ferelden and Orlais primarily the last three years. And of course, any of the three from game start time if you want something more recent. Anyways, please hit me up! :)

My lack of activity in the game probably already told you all this, but I'm going to have to drop. It's nothing against you guys or the game - I love the premise and everything involved... but it's just too slow for me.

When it started, it felt like it was going to be a good pace for my play style, but it's proved not to be. I come from over two years of playing in php games where I got in 100+ full prose tags (3-5 paragraphs long) every day.

Going from that to once a week or once every three or so days on non-plot threads with nothing to do in between but memes or whatever to keep me involved and my mind on the game... Well, it's just not cutting it.

This is entirely a problem I have with RP's in general and I'm really sorry to do this to you guys. If you need to kill Sydni to get him gone ICly, I will understand and not be upset.

Love you guys in the most platonic way a person can love their RP partners and I wish the game the best of everything.

Hey guys! It's that time of the year again, and whatever we may celebrate or believe, I thought it might be fun to celebrate the holiday spirit with some RP! Of course, this is optional, but it is a nice way to explore some aspects of your character(s), flex your writing muscles, and just have fun!

There's no real corresponding holiday in Thedas, but Satinalia seems the most fitting, and should give everyone a great deal of freedom since there are many different ways to celebrate. According to the Dragon Age: Origin's Collector's edition books this is the information:

Satinalia: In many places, this holiday - once dedicated to the Old Goddess of chaos, Zazikel, but now attributed more to the Second Moon, Satina - is still accompanied by wild celebration. Celebrants wear masks and lose their inhibitions, and they place the town fool as ruler for a day. In Antiva (Antiva City in particular), this festival lasts for a week or more, followed by a week of fasting. In more pious areas, this holiday is now marked by large feasts and gift giving.

The exercise is this, choose a time period in your character's life. It can be past, present, or even possible future. Write a scene that centers around this holiday and how they celebrate (or even how they don't celebrate it). You can feel free to hit up fellow RPers to scene together, or even start a celebration at the Keep for others to reply to. Just leave your scenes and stories in comments to this post. Hi peoples!
I'm off on early vacation, visiting (hopefully) sunny California!
It includes an 11 hour flight, parents-in-law, grandparents-in-law and hopefully lots of adventures. Sadly this means less RP for a few days,
but I'll be back before you know it. More exactly on the 14th of December.

While we're at it, anyone have any tips on must-sees and must-doos around San Francisco?
