WHO: Roxanne & Open To All WHEN: New Years Day; early afternoon WHERE: the night club WHAT: performing and stuff RATING: duno yet
Roxy had spent more time singing in the Night Club lately than she had in a long time. Maybe it was the realization that she'd been here a full year. At first it had been great on the ship. She didn't have to work, she could sing whenever she wanted, she jammed with the Weird Sisters! But then she had to go and get in a relationship, and then Lysander had to show up and make things complicated. And then - oh yeah, the whole researching her future thing. No one should get to know their future, it's just not healthy! Marriage and infidelity and it just really sucked. It was easier to throw herself into her music.
Or at least it was easier when she didn't see Orsino sitting out there watching her. Or Lysander. Mostly Orsino. Roxy had a bad habit of putting what she was feeling into her music. She was vulnerable when she sang in a way that she probably shouldn't have been. The shallow, sometimes brainless girl that everyone knew was easier to handle because then Roxy could pretend like she didn't feel anything. On stage she was raw and broken and emotional. Maybe it wasn't always a good idea, but at least it made her feel a little better sometimes.
Roxy had spent New Years Eve out and about, pretending to be okay like she usually did. Today she just wanted to find something to do. The Night Club was pretty empty during the day. Probably due to the fact that it was a "night" club. But at least that meant Roxy didn't have to worry about people she knew coming around. Or so she thought anyway. By the time she finished her set and wandered over to the bar, she realized that she wasn't quite as alone as she thought she was.
