Cirque Noir

The level of excitement some of you show for a red light district I'd think you were all virgins and nuns.

The secondhand record stores here are quite amazing though. Anyone think they've found the best wine bar yet? It's the best place to look for dinner.

Funny thing, being back. I couldn't used to feel the shift happening when we moved. Now I can feel it under my skin.

Anyhoo, it's time for our regularly scheduled episode of Whose Stuff Is This, courtesy of Roger.

This week I found the following stuff shoved in my socks (yes, IN my socks):

- One of those small mirror thingies ladies sometimes keep in their purse? For makeup? I dunno.
- A charging block.
- A single earring.

Personally I'm trying to decide whether to pick something classically gorgeous or embrace this 'dress local' offer. We shall see. I fucking hate spending money.

I love all the secret rooftop bars and hidden speakeasies. If you need a tour of the nightlife, I'm your girl.

Look at that glowing ball of fire in the sky, been a while since we've seen it that bright.

Time to become an indoor cat again until the sun goes down. Who wants to hang out in Délire and listen to some music?

So how many made new year's resolutions?

No gyms for people to join within the cirque, although the sauna is a nice edition. I assume we'll lose it on the next move, but I'm not much for saunas anyway. I don't think it's a vampire thing.

All these bloody Greeks taste like seafood. That is not a compliment. Good scream on some of them though, the ones who deserved it.

I do like the nights in this city though, especially walking along the beaches. The last time I was in Greece there wasn't much nightlife to speak of, other than pretentious poets visiting to do as much opium as humanly possible. There's some good birds to be seen as well. I've spotted some Eurasian Magpies flitting around the grounds some afternoons, as well as the owls coming out at night.

I'm thinking it might be fun to add something a little more Greek to the song selections at Délire while we're here, though the what might need a little research.
