Amarissa didn't have the typical work schedule of an Auror. At least, not while she was in Britain. In Spain, sure, she had left early every morning, went to an office and sorted through paperwork, and went wherever she was directed. When the after war situation had arose with the resurrected dead, everything had changed so much. There was a lot less office time now. She had been in charge of wandering across the continent of Spain and finding anyone that had been revised, bringing them back, conducting interviews and recording the findings that the labs had concluded. She had gone through theory after theory of just how the dead were coming back. And none of them had really stuck so far.
Since arriving in Britain, she had followed a lot of that trend. Typically, she went into the office when there was something large going on with integration. She needed to keep up the farce that she was really just investigating the consequences and activities surrounding integration, so she went to the meetings, paid attention to the news, and talked to anyone who was involved.
Today, she was in the office. It was odd to be surrounded by people she didn't really know. In the Spanish Ministry, she knew almost everyone, had contacts and that sort of thing. Here, she was the strange one, the odd one out. Not to say that people weren't kind to her. They all had some kind of agenda in what they wanted her to report back to Spain, thinking that she was crucial in whether or not the Spanish Ministry was going to back integration. But it wasn't that ease of working with the same people for a long time, there were no allies or friends to be found here. Which was why she felt a bit nervous about what she was about to do. She wasn't quite sure if it was such a good idea, but it had maybe become necessary. There had been some thought in her head at first to request a search of the Yaxley Manor, so that she would be allowed in. But that brought the British Ministry far too close to the whole resurrection conspiracy. She didn't know if that was good or not. They hadn't put anything clearly together as far as she could tell, and if they found out that she had been working with their dead, she didn't know what the consequences and reactions would be.
However, something had to be done. She felt that if she could get into Yaxley Manor, she might be able to find some way to capture Bellatrix. Again, she didn't know if it was the best thing for her to do. It was probably too personal. And she hadn't reported that she had found Bella Lestrange. She knew how controversial it was. She knew that they might remove her, and send in some Auror to take her place. They all knew what the Lestranges had done to her family, had seen what it had done to her. But she felt some dire need to be the one that was in charge of this. So, Amarissa came to the conclusion to request the ground plans for the Yaxley Residence. It was possible that she could find some weakness, a soft spot through those. And she didn't know quite why she would be denied them. She would need some story, that was certain. Perhaps that she needed them for the Spanish ministry, that they were considering on making an offer on the building to Kastra?
Amarissa wasn't even sure if they asked. Still, she knew that a large part of the farce was confidence and ease. She couldn't let the other see any doubt. So she approached the desk, making sure that she walked evenly, didn't let her gaze stray away.
