Rhiannon had been on an emotional roller coaster ever since she found out about Marlene and Nate months ago. She was much better now than she was then, that's for sure. But to her, what she had with Nate wasn't just some stupid high school relationship. It may have been the case for him, but she was in love. She had been for years. And for not only every chance of it working out to be taken away from her, but to find out that the last...however long of her relationship had been a lie? Yeah. A little heartbroken over that. Just a little though! She was getting over it. She really was. She'd found someone who made her very happy, who, without knowing, was helping her get through this. But it was a process. And not an easy one.
She'd gone through a long period of feeling great. Genuinely happy. But that ended when she had a noble moment the night before. She didn't like talking about what happened, but she was a good friend. She hated Barbie, but Daniel obviously had feelings for her. More than obviously. She wasn't going to let the girl sink back down into her "OMG WOE IS ME LOVE CAN NEVER WORK OUT" hole. Not when it would hurt one of her very best friends. So she talked about it. Of course, this put her in a less than stellar mood. She'd moped around for most of the day today, before deciding it was time to get the hell over it and socialize. Her first thought was Holly. She really didn't see enough of the girl. She was moving and they both had jobs and other friends and it was hard.
It wasn't long before she found herself at Holly's apartment door. Unfortunately? It was also Nate's door. The only person in Chicago right now that could make her bad mood worse. Ugh, whatever. She could deal with him for a few minutes before a girls' night out, right? Besides, she clearly wasn't even good enough to be a friend anymore. She pulled a face and knocked on the door.
Maybe he wouldn't even be home.
