Jared gently closed the door to his car that was parked directly out front of the door to the house, his gaze looking up at the massive structure he hadn't really been in for about two and a half weeks or more. His eye was still black from the encounter with Jase, his lip partially swollen from the cut he'd gotten on something. Not to mention his knuckles were a bit bruised up still from the swings he'd had at the other guy. If it hadn't been for Jase he would have been home long before now, the last thing he wanted was for marissa to see him all bloodied up and whatnot.

Searching for the key to the front door he stuck it in the lock, turning it and then pushing the door open. Bear was behind him for once so she didn't do the typical barking that would wake up the entire neighborhood. It was late, the sun was just barely starting to come up, no one should be awake and he was hoping he could just sneak up to the bedroom and lock the door so that he could have a chance to talk to Rissa alone without being barged in on. Explain himself and what had been driving him over the past couple weeks, why he'd needed to leave and why he was scared to touch her. Clearinig his throat he looked around the place and then started slowly towards the stairs, "Come on Bear..." The words were whispered softly even though in the quiet house they made it feel like a gun had just gone off.
