I have to echo Mr. Rivera's concerns. Has anyone seen Mr. Triadhós or perhaps an idea of where he could be? It is unlike him to disappear.

The momentary madness that affected us all last Friday was due to a very unfortunate incident where some things ended up in a trash heap that shouldn't have ended up in there, and that trash heap was burned even though it shouldn't have. It was a fluke. If it gives you comfort, think of it as the universe playing a huge April Fools on you.

With Mr. Farrowe's prompting, a few Pegasi took it upon themselves to clear the grounds of leftover debris, cleaning up the bins and the trash-areas. They then proceeded to burn the organic waste, which included fairy dust, a magically imbued Venus flytrap, a broken shaman's ritual bone and a confiscated love potion that was almost lethally strong and almost certainly concocted by a clever if deluded student. A perfect storm happened: the ingredients burned up together, creating a potent love potion, which was spread over the grounds through the smoke.

Let's all be a bit more careful with our waste, shall we?

( The shouts and screams of students jumping into the cold water filled the air, and despite the freshly fallen snow the day before and the occasional sprinkle of rain with some wind, it was obvious everyone was having fun. )

Outside the Headmistress's office, the voting booths were ready to go all during classes. Instructions were given to students who had never voted in an election before. It was pretty simple. The names of the candidates and the office they were running for was listed on a ballot and inside each booth was a star shaped hole punch. Students need simply to punch next to the name they voted for. Only one name per office was allowed on each ballot. The system was monitored by Ms. Stheno and she kept order with the help of the Student Council. If that wasn't enough, the Headmistress herself had her office door open and kept an eye on the proceedings.

Every student was given an opportunity to come to the booths and cast their vote. No one was excluded, but no one was forced to step into the private booth. Those students who opted out of voting simply stayed in class and waited for their classmates to return from the voting.

At the close of classes on Monday, the polls would close. Votes were counted. The winners would be announced Tuesday morning in first period.

After the last classes of the day, students were to gather in the Auditorium. Detentions has been waived that day, meaning no student had an excuse for not showing up. Most of them had, gathering in the seats of the audience, cliques and friends gathering quite naturally. The teachers were scattered among the audience, usually in pairs, ensuring that most parts of the room were monitored.

The mood in the room was good, amiable. Most students liked the campaigns, always enjoying free goodies. Some were even involved enough to bring signs for their candidates! Ms. Menides stood on the stage, surveying the stage benevolently. She was obviously pleased. "Hang on to their every word, students! Meet: the candidates of this year! Best of luck!"

We should be able to fix the damage to castle and the dormitories this week. For those who have to sleep in the dining hall or the unused classrooms, I ask you to have a little more patience.

Mr. Pheres is busy attending to those in the infirmary. For those whose injuries need aid, but aren't serious enough to need bed-rest, please come to the other teachers. We shall gladly help you.

Ms. Stheno would appreciate some help re-alphabetizing the books in the library.

As you might have heard, Ms. Denmire, one of our most talented and sweetest students, has fallen victim to a horrible accident. She saved two children from a fire. She was a hero.

I am sorry to say that Ms. Denmire is lost to us. There will be a chance to say goodbye to her this afternoon. If anybody needs to talk, the staff and I are always available to you all.
