Davian was being pulled in a lot of directions that afternoon. One minute he and Alex were going to run for Class Presidency, the next they weren't even friends anymore because he'd given up drugs. One minute he'd given up drugs and the next... well, the next he really gave up drugs.
Two Christmases ago, Davian had reluctantly agreed to go to the demon commune in Atlanta with Dallas. While there, Dallas had given Davian a baggie of weed as a gift. Primo stuff, too. When Davian got back to the Academy, Paxton had instructed Davian to save it, keep it hidden and never touch it. It had been an act of superior will power (and he forgot), but Davian left that baggie of weed in his sock drawer until today.
There were ups and downs of that day, but one thing he was sure about was that he loved Ambriel, and that Ms. Edouard gave a shit about him. Ambriel would always be there for him and Davian was going to make sure Ms. Edouard was as well. Which meant he had to get rid of Dallas. Dallas was a cancer to the fairy teacher. He was dragging her down and making her collapse in on herself and Davian was sick and fucking tired of watching her wilt away.
Once he figured out that Dallas was the cause of Therese being so unhappy, he'd gone immediately for the sock drawer and pulled out the baggie, stuffing it into his pants. With purpose in the lashing swish-swish of his black tail, Davian stormed straight to the Headmistress's office and knocked on the door. Today, on 420, and for the last time, Davian was going to use weed to do something good. And he hoped Dallas had a good trip...
...far from the Academy and far from Therese.
Davian told Ms. Menides everything about the bag of cannabis and how it had come into his possession, looked the Fury straight in the eyes as he did so. Davian even went as far as to suggest she have Mr. Pheres do a scrying on the baggie to be absolutely positive he was telling the truth. By the time his delivery had been made and his story told, Davian was glad to be dismissed from the office and he scurried away.
