Things with his parents had gone better than he expected, but it was still a little weird. He was able to talk his dad into letting him leave so that he could meet Bucky, but also so that he and Stacey could talk. He'd borrowed a pair of his dad's jeans and some sneakers, though he kept with the bright blue t-shirt he'd shown up in. It didn't take him long to get outside the apartments, checking his phone as he waited.

	"Hmm?" Steve asked before turning. He looked over at the sketch book and turned bright red. He was pretty sure he'd never moved as fast as he did to get across the room and close the book. 	Steve took a deep breath, though he was still blushing. "I did kind of have to guess on some parts of it." He bit his lips. "Just sometimes get something in my head and it won't leave me alone until I get it down on paper." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Bucky tried not to think much of it, figuring it was just an idea, like a song that got stuck in his head, and that he was one of the ones Steve spent most of his time around so it was bound to be him in at least some of his drawings. "It's okay Steve, really." He hadn't quite caught up yet that Steve kept mentioning they and them, meaning there would have been more than one.

	Steve smiled and nodded. "It's still a little embarrassing. I'm glad you're not mad, though." He slipped the sketchbook into the desk drawer before Bucky got an idea to look through it. There were others in a stack in the corner of the desk as well. "So, all of my clothes seem to be here, though I haven't really taken stock of my underwear." He chuckled. 	"At least there's some good luck there." Bucky had lounged himself out across Steve's bed, one arm bent and under his head. "I know there's at least one art store that's actually run by a few people here and I think I saw a place on the way that might have some too if you wanted to dig around for them." Buck knew what he was up to right away. It happened all the time since they'd been kids, though once they were a little older it became less Steve telling Bucky to sit still while he fidgeted about from thing to thing and more Bucky realizing what Steve wanted and holding still without needed to be told. It was kind of nice he found, to let himself just be still and not really think or do anything for a few minutes. "You never told me how they took things this morning?" he asked softly, relaxed as he lay back and let Steve work

Steve kept his eyes on his drawing. "Mom thought I was Dad at first." He chuckled softly. "Had to keep reminding myself that I was still calling her Miss Stacey at this point." He hadn't started officially calling her Mom until he was 9. "Dad just kind of rolled with it but I could tell he was annoyed." He figured that was just because of the missing out on things.

	Bucky laughed softly. "For a few years at least. She still might find you completely fascinating." He knew some of it had to do with Steve being one of a few who learned sign with her, but there was something else they'd never quite figured out too, since she hadn't done the same with Stevie or mary or even Luke who was so much closer to her age. 	"That's how it all started." He chuckled softly. He occasionally looked up to check his work even though he could draw Bucky from memory at that point. "She made the first move, too." 	Bucky was perfectly comfortable, sprawled out on the bed so he didn't mind holding still, even if it wasn't completely needed. Part of him seemed to know that too, but it gave him excuse not to worry about what he was doing or that Steve's eyes were on him. "Tackle you over the crayons?" he teased lightly. He laughed and stuck his tongue out too. "Hey, she should've been thankful, you could've been Stevie, asking about once a week since she was six." Stevie was still a tiny sore spot with Bucky, but seeing how happy he really was with Mary and realizing that they could still be friends was helping him get over that. "Plus, how much could you guys get away with at 14 and 16."

	Steve took a deep breath and puffed out his cheeks before he let it out. "There were.....a couple of reasons." He cleared his throat. "Just kind of figured out she's not my type." He put the finishing touches on the sketch and then ripped it out of the book, moving over to sit next to Bucky. "Here, you can give it to your folks." He smiled. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
