Things with his parents had gone better than he expected, but it was still a little weird. He was able to talk his dad into letting him leave so that he could meet Bucky, but also so that he and Stacey could talk. He'd borrowed a pair of his dad's jeans and some sneakers, though he kept with the bright blue t-shirt he'd shown up in. It didn't take him long to get outside the apartments, checking his phone as he waited.

	Steve's face lit up when Bucky said they were getting real ice cream. He rocked on his feet as he looked at the choices. "Um.....let's get Neapolitan. I'm in the mood for lots of flavors." He chuckled. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

He loved the look on Steve's face and was glad they lived in a time and place that they had something that'd let him have the real ice cream, at least now and then. Once the flavor was chosen Bucky looked to his hands and had to contemplate a moment. "Can you hold this?" he asked, holding out the drawing. He didn't want to hold both it and the ice cream, worried about it getting wet.

	Steve nodded and took the drawing, placing it between the frame and his body. "Get two things of it. We're pigging out tonight." He laughed. He knew he wouldn't eat much, but it was fun to plan anyway. "Maybe we should get a basket and get stuff to make sundaes." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"YES!" Bucky practically bounced, a tub of ice cream in each hand. "Wait here." he told Steve before running off toward the front of the store. He found a basket easy enough and dumped the ice cream in before picking it up and running back toward Steve. He did make one stop though, grabbing a bottle of some sweet flavored liquor and some soda along the way. He figured if deciding to move in with one of your best friends wasn't a reason to have a drink or two, what was? Plus, he didn't want to be the type of person who only drank when they were sad.

Once he made it back to Steve he held up the basket. "Got it! What else?"

	Steve laughed as he watched Bucky take off. "We need whipped cream and cherries and sprinkles and chocolate syrup." He nodded. "And...caramel." Steve cleared his throat and blushed a little bit. The topping had factored into one of his fantasies. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Sure." Bucky grabbed a couple tins of coffee, ones he knew they both liked, along with the filters and some sugar. All the ice cream stuff was right nearby too so he tossed in a pack of everything, except the caramel-he added two of those. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Bucky blushed a little, the time with Steve had distracted him completely and he'd forgotten most of the rest of his day. That and he pretty much ate constantly lately, not as much as someone like Stevie, but it felt like it some days. 	Bucky found some cereal they both liked and had that in the basket too. "I think we're good?" he asked, kind of hoping so because the basket was getting heavy and he didn't want to make Steve carry any more than the frame and the drawing. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Good." Bucky decided to just take the basket with them, he doubt there were ever enough people shopping at one time to need more than were left and he could bring it back later. He didn't say anything out loud, and he really wasn't sure why, but he found the walk home was a little less nice without holding Steve's hand. But once they got back he held the door open for the other man, basket resting on his hip.

Steve kept glancing at Bucky as they walked. It was almost like he was afraid Bucky would disappear if they weren't touching in some way, but he kept that to himself. He nodded his thanks to his best friend as he stepped through the door and then set the picture and the frame on the coffee table.

"Let's get everything put up and then we can frame the picture." He didn't want to risk getting ice cream on the portrait.

"Never. Only ever one trip in to the house and one trip to the fridge. Rules." Bucky nodded, as if that made it fact. He thought for a minute, "I mean...we could stay, just tonight, then go back and let them know, give them a few nights after?" he shrugged a little, it wouldn't be the first night he stay away from home since getting here. "If you think your parents won't mind."

	"Sleepover!" Bucky grinned, his voice a little louder and more excited than it probably needed to be. "Also means we can dip in to this." he reached in to the basket and pulled out the liquor. 	Steve winced a little at the volume but then he just chuckled and shook his head. "Why am I not surprised that you grabbed booze?" He smiled. It was one of those things that he had to limit because of his medications, but he didn't have avoid it completely. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"We're definitely not doing any moping tonight." He patted Bucky on the shoulder and headed into the living room to put the picture in the frame.
