Things with his parents had gone better than he expected, but it was still a little weird. He was able to talk his dad into letting him leave so that he could meet Bucky, but also so that he and Stacey could talk. He'd borrowed a pair of his dad's jeans and some sneakers, though he kept with the bright blue t-shirt he'd shown up in. It didn't take him long to get outside the apartments, checking his phone as he waited.

	"I think it's perfect." He nodded. "Fits your personality." Steve grinned at Bucky. Henry smiled. "I'll get it wrapped in some tissue paper for you. Won't be a moment." Bucky just gave Steve a warm half-smile, knowing he was right despite all Bucky's joking. He followed after him as he found the lamp. "We could always get it." he suggested, "Be the first thing in the apartment that clashes with that magazine photo style." He knew they were bound to personalize the space and it wouldn't look like that photoshoot for too long and it'd be theirs.

"Maybe we can ask." Steve smiled.

"Ask what?" Henry came back, the frame in a nice, white box. He held it out to Steve, who took it.

"Um....well...could we get the lamp too?" He bit his lip. It was a bit much.

Henry took a good look at the lamp. "I'll need to double check with Abraham but it shouldn't be a problem. Shall I give you a call after I talk to him?"

"Please." Steve nodded.

"Is there anything else I may be able to help you with?" Henry looked between the two of them. Steve just looked at Bucky.

Bucky couldn't help as his smile got warm and fond as he looked at Steve. They lived in a society with no money and Steve still managed to be more modest than almost anyone.

"I can help out around here a few days if he wants, as a sorta payment." He volunteered, not sure if he'd be taken up on the offer or not but he wouldn't care either way. A few days work was nothing if it was something Steve wanted.

Bucky pondered a moment, "Don't think so, unless you got some drawing pencils around." It was more joke than anything, figuring they really wouldn't stock something like that normally, especially when there was an art store in the city too.

"Unfortunately no." Henry offered a smile. "I'll talk to Abraham about the lamp, and if he wants some assistance around the store." Not that it was really needed.

"Thank you." Steve smiled. He hugged the box with the frame to his chest, the other taking Bucky's hand again.

"It's no problem at all." Henry bowed slightly. He walked over and opened the door for the two young men.

Steve nodded his thanks as he led Bucky out of the store.

	Bucky nodded a thanks to Henry too and followed Steve out the door, "Mission accomplished?" he asked, fingers wrapping around Steve's again. Bucky followed still, stepping through the doors to the grocery but tugging Steve down one of the aisles before they got to any of the frozen stuff, going past all the vitamins and things until they come across some of the over the counter medications. He found one that was to help with lactose and offered it to Steve. "I know they suck but you'll feel better later."

	Steve's face lit up when Bucky said they were getting real ice cream. He rocked on his feet as he looked at the choices. "Um.....let's get Neapolitan. I'm in the mood for lots of flavors." He chuckled. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

He loved the look on Steve's face and was glad they lived in a time and place that they had something that'd let him have the real ice cream, at least now and then. Once the flavor was chosen Bucky looked to his hands and had to contemplate a moment. "Can you hold this?" he asked, holding out the drawing. He didn't want to hold both it and the ice cream, worried about it getting wet.

"YES!" Bucky practically bounced, a tub of ice cream in each hand. "Wait here." he told Steve before running off toward the front of the store. He found a basket easy enough and dumped the ice cream in before picking it up and running back toward Steve. He did make one stop though, grabbing a bottle of some sweet flavored liquor and some soda along the way. He figured if deciding to move in with one of your best friends wasn't a reason to have a drink or two, what was? Plus, he didn't want to be the type of person who only drank when they were sad.

Once he made it back to Steve he held up the basket. "Got it! What else?"

	"Sure." Bucky grabbed a couple tins of coffee, ones he knew they both liked, along with the filters and some sugar. All the ice cream stuff was right nearby too so he tossed in a pack of everything, except the caramel-he added two of those. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Bucky blushed a little, the time with Steve had distracted him completely and he'd forgotten most of the rest of his day. That and he pretty much ate constantly lately, not as much as someone like Stevie, but it felt like it some days.
