You have two friends, for simplicity sake… we’ll call one J and one D. They are both smart, and funny, and kind. They are also good friends of one another.

Say, you dated J, and loved her so much that you gave up the throne of your people and ultimately, apparently, risked their safety to court her. And eventually, you began to have Wanda inspired nightmares about (what you would later find out) was the end of the world thanks to a purple giant with many gems.

You will always have a soft spot for Jane. Sometimes, you think that maybe you miss her.

And then there is D. D is… like fresh air and the sun and home all at once. She is fun. She is energy. You have spent a lot… of time with D lately. You’ve known D for many years and your friendship is comfortable. You watch a movie in bed with D and then… suddenly you are making out with D. You quite enjoy your moment. You want to have dinner with her and treat her well.

But she is J’s friend. And you are J’s friend. And you have a fondness for J, and you do not wish to hurt her feelings.

What would you do?


...also, hypothetically speaking, D lives with your daughter from a different reality.
