Today, I'm sharing art inspired by a fantastic series of drabbles written by lariopefic for the first round of snape_ldws, which focused on the Seven Deadly Sins. You can find the drabbles on AO3. I think Wrath may be my favorite, but I'll probably change my mind repeatedly, as I often do when gifted with so much well-written Snape because I'm already shifting back to Envy. These drabbles have provided me a wonderful burden!

I have no words to describe this fic. It's just...amazing. Bloody brilliant and full of poetry and just so pitch-perfect right. The characters are spot-on, and it makes Severus' character make so much sense. The first fic in a long while to actually make me cry. I would like to know what demon perverse-idyll bribed to get this kind of writing gift.

Well, it's Friday (at least, it is here in the land of Oz, I'm not so sure about the Northern Hemisphere!) so I'm going to shamelessly rec my brand-new DeviantArt gallery. I had little idea just how many fanfics I've written over the past few years, a lot of them with the wonderful SS as a central character; so I'm working my way through slowly, checking and weeding out any typos, etc. and uploading.

Hi all! 

My thesis is nearly finished (whee!) so I actually might play a more active role in discussions on the group soon (beware! *grin*). In the mean time I will gladly rec this fic I managed to stumble over. It's 'Death Eater No More' by notwolf.
It's basically 'what happened to Snape and the Malfoys (and to a lesser extent the Lestrange brothers and a host of other characters) after DH. I love it because it stays very in character and yet the characters are (mostly) sympathetic without trying to whitewash their lesser traits.
I adore Severus in this fic! He's his snarky, ascerbic, protective-of-the-students, self. Go read it, and don't be alarmed to find, in the first few chapters, that Snape has more family than canon stated; what I love about this fic is how it shows the characters as *connected* people. They didn't drop out of the air fully clothed, but have family and relationships and that just because Harry didn't know about them doesn't mean they weren't there...

So, I have a Friday Rec for you all (it IS Friday in the Northern Hemisphere now, isn't it? Only it's Saturday noon here in Oz). I've been broadening my horizons with a short fic or two over at Daily Deviant (longer ones or multiparters, I've been bookmarking for later), and ran across this one. I'm not normally into this pairing or the kinks listed, but it was short so I gave it a try. I thought it was really well done. :) Head the warnings, though!

Haven't done recs for a while so this time I thought I'd do something a little different. I want to rec two comms.

The first, severus_sighs is all Snape, all the time. They are currently posting how each of the authors sees their Snape. It's really marvelous to see so many different versions of the character we all love.
