Take a look at our Affiliates How to contact the mod privately This is a place where fans of Severus Snape come together and discuss, laugh and cry about Severus Snape. The community isn’t moderated; I will let discussions go undisturbed unless it resorts to name calling. In that case, I reserve the right to delete without further notice after two warnings. There won’t be a spoiler policy either. If you come here, you will find Deathly Hallows discussion. Chances are that you won’t find much Deathly Hallows squeeing, but people who liked book seven are welcome, too. We come here to discuss everything relating to Snape in detail and with a passion. That means that we can go on and on about big or little details. Don't tell us to let it go, we don't want to. It's our hobby. We want to read and write about the man and the world in which he is living (or his version of the afterlife, whatever you prefer), and thus we want to discuss all these little details. Our activities consist mostly of discussing meta and creative meta (short pieces of fiction that deal with the topic of the challenge) and in contributing to monthly challenges. Everyone who contributes to a challenge gets a banner. You can also always link to other meta, outside of snapedom. From time to time we have parties and celebrations. Then the strict 'no fic, no art' rules are lifted for the duration of the party and we just celebrate the occasion. We try to keep on topic, keep the posts Snape-related. However, general rants about or praise for book seven are tolerated, we have to get it out of our system, after all. A second important part of this community are writers' resources. Check out the links on the main page. Many of us write and/or are beta readers. You can post here when you are looking for a beta, when you found interesting resources for writing, when you are stuck with a problem... the possibilities are endless. And then we want to see the links to your work, because we also have: The Friday Recs. Every Friday, you can post links to your own stories and art, or recommend your favourites, things you saw, things you like. These can be old stories/art and new. They can come from every genre, as long as Severus is involved. We do not discuss shipping here. There will be no shipping wars. Friendly teasing is allowed, though. Finally, if you find something funny, involving Severus, post it. To sum it up: The Rules:: On the community you can: - Recommend ‘rescue fics’. - Write metas/essays about Severus Snape. - Write metas/essays about any other Harry Potter character, as long as there is a connection to Snape. I would find a Snape and Sirius Black essay interesting. Snape and Winky would make me wonder, but if you have an interesting idea, go for it. - Rant about a Snape related topic without making it a formal essay. - Post Snape-related jokes. - Recommend and link to essays, metas, rants, sites or other Snape-related topics elsewhere. - Share writers’ resources about Severus Snape. You can also post requests for beta-readers. - Discuss aspects of writing fanfic about Severus Snape - Pimp your stories, your art or your communities on Fridays. You can post abstracts, but not chapters or the whole text. Thumbnails of images and descriptions of communities are ok. On the community you cannot: - Post fan fiction. But you can pimp your fics and those of your friends every Friday. - Post fan art. But you can pimp your art every Friday. - Start shipping wars. I want this to be for all Snape fans, and Snarry-, Snucius-, SS/HG-, Snuna-, Snape/whoever-fans have more in common than divides them. Let’s share our insights, not fight about fictional romantic attachment. The only exception to this is Snily. Feel free to bitch/dicuss this pairing since it’s canon. - Complain because other people aren’t nice. Debates can get heated. Try not to get personal and try not to take the things said on a personal level. Discuss the topic, not the poster. This should do for a start. I will make the rest up as we go.
