As there are no other sentient species acknowledged by humans, I don't think we've ever needed a word for it.

"Do you really want to tell Lois Lane that what she's doing is illegal?"

Provided she was on the other end of a sheet of plexiglass, sure. Generally I've always found Lois lane insufferable (though she's mellowed since the marriage) so any chance to watch her squirm would be enjoyable.

What, why no love for Lois?

I grew up reading the Silver Age Lois and to my mind she was a manipulative, vain and selfish shrew. Constantly trying to uncover Superman's ID without thought of what that might mean to HIM (He could be a dick too, don't get me wrong).

The infamous jest "If only I could trick Superman into an honest, loving marriage" from World's Funnest summed her up best to me. I just couldn't stand her.

That woman has been dead for over 25 years, she died before the crisis.

Doesn't really matter, she's still the one I grew up with. And the Lois who shows up in the likes of "Lois and Clark" and "Superman: The Animated Series" still seems to have many of her characteristics.

Don't tell me. You're secretly Chuck Austen.

But I do agree with you about Superman TAS. For some reason, modern Lois seems stuck in the comics, unable to travel to any other medium. Doomsday Lois was the best, but even she definitely had some issues, too.

The Robin fetish, the Lois hate... is that you Chuck, cause if so stay the **** away from X-Men.

Luckily, I don't think Austen has ever written Robin, has he?

Hey, what have I ever done to justify just being plain nasty in your accusations!

(I kid, I kid!)

Most other media don't use the married Lois dynamic, so they're left with the one who is primarily an investigative journalist and have to try and steer between "She's a good reporter with a good heart" and "Someone who is that much of a reporter HAS to investigate Superman", and that's a tough one to balance.

I foresee more in the way of "...I can investigate what's newsworthy about you, too" and rather less in the way of squirming, but okay! It'd be you getting the most powerful woman of Metropolis hypothetically annoyed at you, not me.

DC should've released an AU where Lois was Oracle.

They did this in Swamp Thing as I recall...it did not go well for the ones holding onto Abbey. ;)

Indeed, it's Batman who points out the problems with applying black and white (no pun intended) miscegenation/bestiality laws, in a world where aliens are part of the community.

Well, since I have *cough* encountered that problem in various fandoms (too many fandoms to not be embarrassing, in fact), I've usually seen it simply referred to as "interspecies." *involuntary expert*

And only because it doesn't actually exist has never been a reason to limit our vocabulary, now has it?
