We'd tell you who they are fighting here but it'll spoil some big goings on in the issues you haven't read yet. From the dashing duo of Brian Bendis and Stuart Immonen!

Spidey's never really had much to do with any of the ladies who spun off from his name (in what was probably a deliberate choice), so I'd be interested to see the two of them as a team.

Continue to like Immonen's work on the series.

The first issue managed to cover what felt like mostly new ground; one hopes they'll not spend too much time rehashing Steve's by now very familiar story (or, at least, show some new parts of it; I really liked the brief scene in Reborn #2 that had Steve talking with Dr. Erskine, almost as a father figure. You could do something with that).

I have to admit, the solicits for Hickman's stuff do sound good. Amusing Davis cover (he's kind of fallen into a bit of a rut as a light comedy artist, I have to say).

The first issue of this was great; given the rotating creative teams, it's hard to judge the quality of the later issues, but Lapham's a very respectable talent to finish it out. Aja's covers for this series have been excellent.

No, it's not, and I'm stunned that you think that it is, unless you've wanted to have sex with and/or be in relationships with every single person who's ever been a coworker of yours at your jobs.

Basically, all I see for justifications are either OPPOSITES ATTRACT or THEY'RE ALREADY TEAMMATES, both of which betray the sort of trite, interchangeable, sitcom-level writing that makes people think it's okay to hook up T'Challa and Ororo solely because THEY'RE BOTH BLACK AMIRITE???

By this same logic, Green Arrow and Hawkman should have been the best of friends, because they were both white guys and also both members of the same team.

Not really, I mean, a workplace romance can easily exist because of the close quaters and the familarity. With Super heroes, it may be even bigger becasue with that, you have fights for your life and denfending each other's backs. It all comes down to writing, I think a workplace romance is a lot easier and more interesting to find a good story for than just shoving two characters of a race together for the sake of romance.

Except that familiarity also breeds contempt, depending upon the people in question, and the point I'm getting at is that there is absolutely no reason, given Peter and Carol's personalities, why this shouldn't breed contempt rather than affection.

With Super heroes, it may be even bigger becasue with that, you have fights for your life and denfending each other's backs.

Because as a former member of the military who's served in two foreign wars alongside both male and female service members, I'll freely grant you that, in between performing operational duties on behalf of your nation's war efforts, there's gonna be a LOT of fucking amongst the ranks, even though it's against the rules, but relationships? No, not so much. It's sex as STRESS-RELIEF, nothing more.

	Well, I grant comics so romantic leeway, as a hopless romantic and since it's fantasy. I dom't know I guess now that Peter is single, (for better or worse) I wanna see him have some new relationships, maybe become romantically involved in a meaningful way with someone otehr than MJ, Id like a change of pace like that. In the absence of any other excuses for hooking two characters up, both are cliched and overdone reasons for getting characters together.

Although I'm starting to suspect that you don't really care, because this is the third time you've stepped into a conversation that you weren't part of, to try and tell me how stupid I am, which makes me suspect this is less about you having differences of opinion with me, and more about you having developed some kind of personal grudge against me, so in the interests of not starting drama on this comm, I won't be replying to your posts again.
