Inside Pat Lee
I stumbled on this while preparing the "When Alan Moore was crap" entries. There was a time when Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios was putting profiles of its talent in the Extreme comics. The person in the spotlight would list likes, dislikes, influences, etc. One time, the person chosen for this honor who a young up-and-comer named Pat Lee.

I know the guy has his fans here, especially among the Transformers fans, so I thought some of you folks might enjoy this.

Follow the link Galateus posted in the first response.

Or rather, I'll just repost it http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Pat_Lee

Read it. It's HIGHLY entertaining. For a shortened version, skip to Criticism and Controversy for the basic reasons why Pat is oh-so-loveable. Read the trivia to find out more about Michiyameritehi Funana. Read the quotes section for even more luls.

and finally, click the "see also" link to understand kamino_neko's subject next to her icon as well as to make sure you never take Pat Lee seriously again.

Sounds a lot like Bob Kane, only worlds worse!

To Lee's credit, he's never lied about his age to get out of a contract, to the best of my knowledge. (OK, granted, it's not entirely clear that Kane did, either, but still...)

It's sad that that's the best I can come up with re: his integrity...

And to Kane's...uhm, credit...he was much better at ripping people off and getting away with it. (Hey, at least he was smart enough, and good enough with people to pull it off...)

To Lee's credit, at least he's only ghosting on the art chores! Leaves him less chance of his writer dying alcoholic and penniless!
i will never forgive bob kane for what he did to bill finger

Oh, yes, there is that.

Ah, Golden Age comics...if the companies weren't ripping the creators off, the other creators were...

When Rich Johnston was still doing Lying in the Gutters, for a while he was featuring "Pat Lee screws people over" items so frequently that it was practically a column featurette.
